Besides "The films need to be the way I want them," has Lucas stated anything as to why the Blu-rays became the travesty that they are?

George is nothing more than an overgrown child who wants to spread misery to other people.

I really have nothing to add to this conversation as to my own opinion other than George can do what he damn well pleases with his film.  I just wish it wasn't up to people like Harmy to give me the original nominee for best picture--and winner of best editing, costuming, effects, art direction, and score--in 1977.

As someone who's closest friends identify as on the spectrum, and having a debatable place myself,  I do take some offense to Ender's self-righteous claim that Warb belongs there.  Or, rather, the way he presented it with no tact whatsoever.  Web diagnoses on these sorts of things are pathetic at best - as I would think a nurse would know.  Ender, you're using it as a way to discredit him in argumentative situations on the forum.  Seriously, listing the signs here?  As if to remind everyone else he's below you?

That's the sort of thing that, if you were genuinely curious, should have been addressed in private via PM or something.

I understand you were trying to be polite, but all you've managed to do is cherry coat a condescending appraisal of Warbler.  I've a right to point out that this comes off as rude.

It's very annoying to me when I'm invited to watch a movie at a friends house on their new humongous super HD ultra plasma-whatever TV only to realize that all the money they spent on the TV and BD player is for nothing because the motion enhancements are turned on making the film look like a speed up soap opera. Even more annoying when I'm the only one in the room who even notices this and everyone else insists that it's better this way. Ugh...

It's even worse when people don't know the difference, IMO.  I can at least see the appeal of high-refresh rates, and even appreciate them in video games/certain animation.

Seriously, I will never understand this excuse.  Don't make socks, just send a damn note via the contact form.

playing Devil's Advocate here: I believe Warb e-mailed Jay and did not get a response until warbler-temp.  There's validity in a second account if you feel you were wrongfully banned and have some form of proof/excuse that won't be shot down immediately.

Info: Our projects released thread

Sticking to my guns on this one.  Sure, I agree with you vbangle.  I'm grateful to the team for their work, even if I don't always care about the movies they choose.  There's serious dedication from everyone on the Team, and I get that.  I do feel privileged that we usually get to see the final products.

It's less the action itself and more the motives I question.  I get the feeling this is a unwarranted temper tantrum -- but I'm not active over at MySpleen.  By all means, point me in the right direction if that's the case.  This stinks almost as bad as the Superman KCOP cut thread.

DuracellEnergizer, from what I know of your tastes/viewing habits you may wish to do some research first and find a high point to begin with on Clone Wars and then go back if you feel necessary.  A slew of bad episodes at the start may be enough to turn you off from the show entirely; I can be the same way.  Just so you actually know you have something to look forward to.

I may be projecting on this, though -- I've been meaning to look at the series myself, and the jump to Netflix seems the perfect excuse.

1977: intimidating

2004: I think given that this sound isn't recycled it's actually more interesting than the 77 equivalent.

Adywan: It's been awhile, but I think he made some sort of hybrid noise; however, it's also possible he just put the 77 one back in.  Unless I'm just making this up,  my preferred version.

2011: I think I could make better in Audacity following a tutorial.

Star Wars: Episode VII to be directed by J.J. Abrams **NON SPOILER THREAD**

"Details about his character are unknown except that Driver's would be similar to Star Wars' biggest villain, Darth Vader."

Much as I grow tired of certain members' tirades on this subject, I must admit reading this actually does make me worry as to the plot of these sequels.  Hey, at least we know he's not Vader.
