How would you Remastered The OOT, If you had Lucas' Money and Power?
Time

I would, if Iwere in charge, do the following:

Definitely do a full remastering job in HD; not an automated process (see DragonballZ for how that turned out), but a full-out remastering. Then I'd examin the remaster, along with a few other star wars fans, and see if there was anything they missed and/or needs t obe touched up ever so slightly.

The deleted scenes would not be forgotten.

Those guys who did the Blade Runner DVD would be my consultants as to how to do the set.

I would just keep the old footage, and not reshoot anything.

Do MILD grain reduction. Enough that it's not intrusive, like in the shot linked http://jedi1.net/jedi1.net/images/1600/ANH-C-3PO-02204-1600.jpg

And that's it, for me. Oh, and of course I'd ask you guys for your opinions.

Does anyone else here agree with me that TPM is the best of the PT?
Time

I've said it many times before, and I'll say it again. TPm had the "magic feeling" of Star Wars, that the others in the PT lacked. It FELT like a Star Wars movie. We were in a Galaxy Far Far Away once again, foreign to us yet also familiar. The acting is amazing compared to the crapfest of Episode Two, and the "Duel of the Fates" kills "the Battle of the Heroes" in episode 3.

Something about that one was entertaining... I know people who fell asleep in the others. I know at least TPM could keep MY attention. ROTS I'd rather not sit through.

Video Games - a general discussion thread
Time

Monkey Island DS was proposed at LA from what I understand, but ultimately canned. Don't take my word for it though.

Does anyone else feel betrayed by Nintendo? They're not even marketing to the gamer anymore, just the consumer; meaning all they care about is $. Ironically, I always thought the oposite of Nintendo, where I always thought its competitors acted like that.

Are there any New Yorkers here? What is going on with NYC landmarks?!?!
Time

Not to demean this in any particular way, but is it that big a deal that these are getting teared down? Granted, they are probably of hitsoric value - but some thing could probably use work there at those places. The renaming to "Citi field" PISSES ME off, though; commercialism is something that I hate with a passion.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Perhaps not on as grand a scale as Octorx's image, but that's a good idea nonetheless. Remember in the deleted scenes for Star Wars (the original), Luke could see tiny little blotches of the starships from plain eye view.

Then again, Hoth's atmosphere is different...

Pokemon: making the dub more like the original (Released)
Time

I watched Episode one of the dub the other day, and noticed that it had its own music at points; I'm rather surprised that they began changing music so soon. However, in that case, I was glad they did; the sean with the Spearow chasing after Ash (Onisuzume?) acutally, IMO, worked better with their music; in the original version, it was just one of those songs that were repeated every other episode.
