It appears the podrace wasn't dropped after all... just wonderful, complete with CG that looks worse than the original fucking movie! I don't know how they managed that, the episode 1 video game cutscenes look almost as good as this.

BUT, it also offers full frame! An extra that's nice - like having the DBZ movies in fullscreen over here, whereas in Japan they have them in widescreen. Though our singles leave a lot to be desired...

I have a Western Digital external and just use my wii via homebrew to play videos off it. Crashes frequently, but it's much easier for me - if you already have a wii, you're set.

I must say that even a simple color palette adjustment makes this look so much better! Perhaps simply a color-edited prequel would be good enough for me, after seeing just how horrid it looks in comparison to many of the mock-ups here.

I remember watchin re-runs on Jetix only a year or so ago - and from what I could tell this show ruled.
The funniest thing about Tommy's return is that the white ranger in Dairanger was a 9-year-old. Thus, I'm sure he was shorter than the others; wonder how they pulled it off.
Also, when did they do their own footage besides the scenes with the teens? I know they had costumes in reserve rented from the Japanese company (you can tell they're different based on the material - and the fact that the teens have their helmets off or appear in the command center), but I wonder if there are any other scenes with them.
You know what I always hated? You couldn't cheat your way through and just get a Metapod - had to be a Caterpie, or it only knew harden. That was SO annoying - although, you could do the swap method. But the swap method is, well, you know...
I think that perhaps the throne room should match his room in the prequels, design-wise. Mainly the red.
Though honestly Bingowings, I really think that looks great. Reminds me of the Sith temple on Kor in Jedi Academy.

Wonderful, ain't it? While I don't respect the process of ripping apart someone else's work, I must admit that MMPR in many cases turned out awesome. Did you know Time Force was almost given an adult time slot due to its content? That could have popularized the series much more, methinks.
I'll admit it. I loved Wild Force. Sorry to go slightly off topic, but as Disney's first season (and best) it was truly awesome. Gaoranger I've only seen bits and pieces of, but I'd be shocked if it was much better than Wild Force.

I meant it mainly in the music sense... also, may I say Machiko Soga makes a great Bandora? She's just as silly as Rita, only with a less ear-bleeding-inducing voice. And she's a Sentai veteran.
I always had a Butterfree in my party. Its mix of psychic powers and status modifiers is not to be trifled with. When I was 6 it was all I trained - so I was going up against the elite four with a level 75 Butterfree and the rest of my pokemon in their 30's/40's. XD
