Not sure if serious.

Odd though this may sound, I think it would have worked better if you didn't have to cut between the three strands of plot in that part of the film. Duel of the Fates is meant to be really engaging, but I'm thrown off by the pacing of the cuts between it, the race to the throne room, and the space battle. Straight-up flair works best uninterrupted like that.
I like it but that's my one complaint.
More vague hints courtesy of Entertainment Weekly that point to the Inquisitor from Rebels being the villain in Episode VII. Prepare to get your first glimpses at locations, characters, etc. that will appear in the movie in this series.
The only thing I really didn't like about that was the idea that Palpatine's ancestor founded the Sith. I'm very interested in possibly seeing a more neutrally aligned Luke.
At the same time it appears the Team -1 scan, if it is a raw image, appears to be shifted red.
Film is so confusing @.@
Don't seem to have ever actually posted here. Film-by-film:
Star Wars:
-Cleaned matte lines, if there were any.
-The 2004 Krayt Dragon call. Perhaps not as intimidating, but it seems more original to me. Can't remember where but I am pretty sure I hear that other sound somewhere else in the film.
-I could live with the way Adywan edited the Mos Eisley introduction, even if I prefer the original. So I guess this counts.
ESB:
-The new shot of the Slave I following the Falcon. That's actually a fair improvement.
-Again, any matte fixes. The ones on Hoth aren't done too well, but they're there. Good concept.
ROTJ:
-The new Oola scenes. Too bad they came with Jedi Rocks.
-As was said earlier, the inclusion of Luke hugging Wedge.
-Any and all matte shot improvements.
Bingo, the rest of your statement - harsh though it was - I can see the reasoning of. Saying Possessed is as bad as his mother, let alone his friend, is despicably insensitive. You essentially did cal Possessed a loser through such a personal insult.
Playing devil's advocate seems to be your specialty these days.
Watching movies at 25fps is a real drag and I don't know how everyone in Europe does it. Totally destroys the sound design. Seriously, try watching a musical with everything pitched up as a result. Or even the opening to Apocalypse Now. I will never claim to have perfect pitch but it's distracting as all hell.
This is what I get for taking film studies abroad. *sigh*
^^That's why I'm a fan of cognitive behavioral therapy over traditional talk about your problems therapy. There is a certain amount of it that has to do with mindset. It's thus far helped with my social anxiety issues quite effectively. Depression will, however, pretty much always come and go.
Only somewhat related, I will say that those looking for help outside of the professional kind - from friends and family - probably will not find the solace they're expecting. On the whole, depression works in a way where the best thing the people that care for you can do is help you deal with it. Make it suck a little less, say we're there for you, etc. It's not a matter of friends helping you "get better." That's something I've realized recently in relation to a dear friend so I thought i would be worth passing on.
Frink, I like you, but knock this off. What difference does it make at this point?
OK, then, term -- you pedantic fellow :P. I was actually corrected by the guy running a local pub yesterday, too.
I generally don't find HotRod funny, but I don't see the use in harping on him over a few dirty jokes here and there. And I generally detest toilet humor.
If it's genuinely offensive to you, I have to respect that -- this is the internet and that's not really my problem anyway. But I find it silly that the two of you are going out of your way to remind us that over and over.

Can you explain to me what the purpose of your project?
I do not understand.... you said your goal was to make these movies to look older and with less color. Your last clip had more color than the original movie, i don't get it...
I enjoy the covers, and I'm really curious to see what you do to take out commercial fade-outs. I didn't think that was possible.
Different tastes for different folks, I suppose. I can deal with varying video quality provided the audio doesn't drop, and as I'd be watching in English anyway, that wouldn't be an issue. Just thought I'd give my thoughts.
If the French tape is indeed from broadcast masters, then it may be worth cut-and-pasting the two sources together if it can be done so without much trouble (ie, using WHIO v2 to fill in the gaps.)
Refuse is strong language for something so trivial, in my opinion. Although, I will say, your opinion makes sense to me!
To play devil's advocate: I've always thought Indy didn't believe in any of that mumbo jumbo in Temple either and chalked it up to a placebo effect on the believers when the relics worked in his favor. Also, technically, he didn't disregard the ark's power in the end -- right? He made sure his eyes, and Marion's, were closed when Belloq opened the ark. Could've been putting on a front to keep the government out of his way as much as possible.
To clarify: the reason I'm saying this isn't specifically related to the animation department, although you're right in guessing that's what inspires my skepticism about it. All that needs to be remembered is that Disney is a profit-oriented company. I simply don't see them thinking there's a need for it. Star Wars prints money either way if the SE box-sets are any indication. Unless they take up Robert Harris's offer of a free restoration, or consult with mverta, I seriously doubt they'll think it's worth the investment.
I'm still of the "I'll believe it when I see it" mentality when it comes to there being an unaltered restoration. Disney does have good business sense, don't get me wrong, but I don't trust how they treat their home video catalogue.

I'm really loving London as a tourist. I'm staying at a hostel near King's Cross, so it's easy to get around on the tube. I've already done the British Library, Kensington Gardens, Regent's Park, Abbey Road, Buckingham Palace, and a few other high-profile sites. I have only one more full day here, so I'm gonna make tomorrow count.
I'd forgotten how much I like real cities. Los Angeles's urban sprawl is indeed endearing, but after living there all my life I'm only now starting to realize it's not much of a city. This is the first time I've traveled alone in a place like this, and again, I'm truly loving it.
Though I will say, getting around if you're not on the tube is a hassle if you're not paying attention. Street names change all the time around here! Would it be too much to ask if we could make up our minds, hmmmm?
I'll be studying at St. Clare's in Oxford starting on the 31st. It probably won't cut back on my lurking time, but it's worth mentioning. I've got four days in London coming up, so if anyone's local, feel free to PM me and we'll go out for a pint. Same applies for my whole semester in Oxford.
I was more referring to the color scheme, I'm not generally a Batgirl person (barring the excellent Animated Series), as by as the time I was born she was Oracle.
I'll wait to see how it looks in the comic before I totally pass judgment. Concept art doesn't always reflect the art style of the comic itself. I take more issue with the style rather than the costume.
Dark Knight Returns had a fat Batman logo like so. On its own it's a good comic, but put it in the universe of its lackluster sequel and All-Star Batman as Miller has and it's not that good.
I'm not optimistic at all, but I will be seeing this. We've waited too long for me not to.
That's kind of a shame. I had heard great things about Gail Simone's run on Batgirl. To be honest, though I like that costume. It screams Yvonne Craig, but without all the glitter of the '60s. Plus, less spandex on women is always okay on my book. It's only used to highlight their, eh-hem, "assets" in a way that we're meant to appreciate.
