Uhm, maybe that's because the Enterprise C traveled to the future and not the past? Spock went to the past*. And alternate universes are nothing new to Star Trek, if you recall that one with Worf shifting through dimensions.

I object to this obvious break of the rules! There is not one instance of spy here! The contestants were gumshoe detectives, ot spies. And as for Carmen? She was a crook! Unless you count the animated canon in which she was a former ACME spy herself.
I used her various shows to study my geography, as the Lab only had a poor Mercator projection. It has been quite useful in learning of places where it would be easiest to start my conquest.
