Are there any screens available currently?
Well, I meant for my personal use and I apologize if that came off as a boastful/ha-ha-I-have-it attitude. I certainly didn't mean that.
I suppose I must be too picky, then, if it can satisfy everyone else... ah well, I got my DVR set to it anyway.
I found the TVLand rips on ThePirateBay, but they're really blurry avi files. I think they've been downsized from whatever original resolution they were... I mean, they're passable, but I'd rather watch them the quality they're on at the hub.
Statement retracted, the standard-def caps certainly look better than my avi files. My dream hybrid would be the Hub's broadcast with proper credits - or no credits at all. There's something wrong when I'm excited to see the credits of a TV show...
Well, I'm DVRing what I can in standard def. It doesn't look any better than the avi files I have on my hard drive, plus I have no means to transfer it. But it's on TV, and that's a start.
I can't get past the commercial-credits thing though... especially not during Fraggle Rock.
^What a haul! I remember I got a bargain at Amoeba on Boy one time, because it was an import but the tag was mislabeled as the domestic release (with the stretched faces instead of the boy on the cover). So I saved myself about 17 dollars, according to the price of all the ones with the real cover.
Hehe. Frink said Frank. Anyway, I really hope someone who has HD capacity is capping this show...
Me too, but for now HD doesn't sound so bad. My only trivial complaint is this channel does the now normal cut-the-credits-for-commercials thing. At least when TVLand did it, it often had factoids for the episodes they just showed.
Can't wait to see this! I think my Returning to Jedi has rotted away, but Building Empire is still around. I greatly enjoyed both projects and I can't wait for this one!
I know there are threads about this, but I thought it was worth pointing out that what I’ve seen left of the preservations of this show exist in mid-quality .avis. Well, this COULD be no more! The Hub (the new kids’ channel) airs this show on a regular basis… I don’t have it in HD, but it is offered. I think it would be worth seeing if anyone’s willing to record what they can.
""It's always been my responsibility," she said. "If it was Hollywood (to blame), then we'd all be dope addicts.""
-Good call on her part to take the blame for herself. I hate celebs who blame society. Also, "we"? Who ELSE was on coke?
I disagree and actually thin the blue works best on the ROTS cover. My major issues is that the color / design doesn't really extend onto the spine like the mock-VHS covers of the OT do. If you can manage that (if only a simple blue color), please do.
Although I must say even though your first set (aside from ROTS) reeks of photocollage like many DVD covers today, I do rather enjoy those and wouldn't mind having them.
Lazy Ripplin, was Lazy. He did not repeat the meme for himself.
Stupid Fink, is Stupid. :p
Lazy bkev, was Lazy. He doesn't want to participate in this meme-in-the-making.
Whichever version of Temple on tehparadox has Japanese subtitles.

also, answer to the mystery of Pepe:
"They obviously worked really hard to include everyone. Interestingly, the only post-Jim Henson Muppet to appear in the script is Pepe. He has all of 3 lines so it feels as if they thought "well, we have to have him in there because he's popular but we don't have to give him much time". There are some reverent nods to The Muppet Show and the first 3 movies that really displays the writers' respect for Jim Henson's work. There are a lot of great cameos scripted as well. Of course, we'll see if they can actually get all the celebrities they want to, but it would be nice. It is a musical which, for me, is a plus and hopefully they'll be able to churn out some songs as memorable as we had in the original 3 Muppet movies."
It sounds very much like something Disney would fail to correct, The Lion King still has the redrawn iMax shots even in the theatrical cut if you'll recall.
This makes me sad, he used to always be the one who'd go after guys like him. Maybe that was only in this thread, though, which would mean he's never changed. Memory's a funny thing.
As I understand it people who went to the Star Wars in Concert reported the colors looked marginally better, ie the Tantive IV looked a little less gray. But the biggest difference is TPM's lacking its horrible pink tint and edge enhancement, which will unfortunately probably go unnoticed by most of this crowd.
I guess sometimes odd cuts have a reason then...
You know what's sad? For all the brown, I still think it looks better.
It's from this gem of parody cinema.
the Jedi Apprentice series. It fleshes out Qui-Gon and helps me remember why, even though he didn't do too much in The Phantom Menace, he was a likable character. I'd venture a lot of them are written better than the prequels themselves, despite the adolescent nature of the series.
What is that? It looks so '70s. I love it so, but I can't place it. Also, the .gif with it disappearing like a slammed door is good too.
