Sure, I got a lot of great stuff from this site, Star Wars and the Thief and the Cobbler DVDs. But they were from good people, who actually cared about people like me. But thery're gone now, probably because you fuckheads scared them off.

This site is yet another example of how evil people can really be. And what's worse, they can do it right in the comfort of their own living room, and they don't have to worry about a fucking thing.

From this moment forward, I will never join any forum just for fun. If I join a forum, it will only be for something I need.

A message to VBANGLE, the stalker who haunted my entire time here:

YOU'RE THE ONE WHO NEEDS TO FUCK OFF AND DIE.

Well I had a total blast as they never,ever have any conventions on that scale in Northern Ireland so it was my first.I really enjoyed my three days there and spent time with friends from the original prop community too so that was very cool.People bitch about the commercial aspect buy did anyone REALLY expect anything less?As with most things Star Wars it was the fans that made it and created a great atmosphere.I would also like to echo the sentiments above about the 501st.Great guys with steel balls to be in those costumes in that humidity and heat.My thanks to all the garrisons that participated.

Before any of our US friends get all high and mighty again about countries who support and harbour terrorists I feel I have to reiterate again that there was open fundraising by NORAID in the US for many years which supplied arms to the IRA and they also were a haven for many escaped terrorists.Nobody seemed to care an awful lot back then and there was no call to bomb US soil against those who would openly and very publically raise money for arms that would kill and maim in my country.
Just think it is necessary to remember these things when we talk about this kind of stuff these days.

For my fellow wrestling fans this is a sad and disturbing day.Former WWE champion Chris Benoit was found dead in his home along with his wife Nancy and 7 year old son Daniel.The investigating police have announced they are proceeding with the case as a double murder-suicide.It is believed he killed his wife and son over the weekend and then committed suicide on Monday.
Benoit had been slated to win the ECW title at WWE's Sunday Vengeance pay-per-view but he had contacted the WWE stating that he had to return home due to a seriosu illness in his family.Several wrestlers and WWE employees have stated they received unusual text messages from Benoit on the Sunday with a strong theme of goodbye.When he could not be contacted by the company or friends or family the police were contacted and were called to benoit's home where they found the bodies.
Whatever the investigation turns up this is a genuine tragedy.Benoit was a former WWE,intercontinental,hardcore and tag champion.Although Benoit had had drug problems in his youth he had seemed to have put these behind him.
A very sad day for all concerned with the great business of wrestling.

Dont get me wrong guys I do share your frustration at the lack of a remastered DVD release-one of the reasons I found this place.I just cant share the downbeat attitude that seems to be so pervasive around the fanbase these days.Personally I will always try to focus on the positives that SW has given me down the years and see the best in all the films as I want to pass that enthusiasm and love for Star Wars onto my boys untainted.My sons will never live in world where the SE's and updated versions dont exist but I will always let them know and see the versions that I fell in love with.They are still there one way or the other so viva SW.
And we only have a 28" TV so it may not bother me as much as some!

If your dream is dead you are the one who let it die.Shit I grew up watching these movies on crackly betamax and VHS tapes recorded from the TV so any version of the OOT I watch now is still better than that.What the hell does it really matter as long as you can still watch the films the way they were and you can-be it on VHS or the GOUT or through the sterling work of the many very talented people found here.Dont like the prequels?Damn man you have a choice not to watch them.I mean I can watch Star Wars and leave it there and be happy the Death Star explodes and get goosebumps at the award ceremony or when Luke finds the homestead burning and treat it as one film.I can watch the OOT and enjoy a great trilogy with some awesome and unforgettable cinematic moments.And while inferior in most ways there are things I like about the prequels and the six-movie story and I can enjoy that too.Nothing will ever take my enthusiasm for Star Wars away and it will never,ever die.That being said the films must always be open to criticism,all of them,or else they wil never stand the test of time as nothing blindly accepted is eventually worthwhile which is also why i am a member here and not one of the fawning tools at TFN.
However the whining and bitching can get a little old sometimes............
