why do you cut some seconds?
it´s not necessary,i think…Because the slow motion is 2x; if I will use a, let’s say, 2.2x, it will stutter a bit… so, I prefer to cut few seconds of a ship arrival, which are not important for the story.
Apart this, what do you think of the clip?

As for the additional scenes being added, there are complications for certain. I am with benduwan, I would love to have the most complete edit possible.

There are two versions of Luke and C-3PO in the up close speeder with the fake backdrop. One scene was found in Empire of Dreams. It starts a little sooner and carries a bit of dialogue not carried in the version found on the BDs. It is a different take.

I think DVD menus are the same all over the world - there are three (or four?) each, and they appear at random AFAIK - but I’m pretty sure there is a way in hardware player to choose (or change) them.
Foreign language: this is a thing I’m thinking about since the beginning… it will be hard just with the english track, so I thought to use only that. I’d like to add subtitles for the whole movie + deleted scenes in other languages, but it will be really hard… 😦
maybe a german fan can do that. laserschwert? or others…😃

I know this might be odd… has anyone tried the color match tool on similar frames that have been reduced to black and white, then applied the algorithm to the deleted scenes? I understand it probably won’t work, but worth the try.
To which color matching tool do you refer? That could be helpful for me 😃

Maybe a * raw * edition - with every scene left untouched (apart unfinished/animatics ones) could be surely done, but I don’t see the point to release it, at least in HD though, taken in account the low quality of many scenes… maybe just for fun, but I don’t think anybody will waste time and hard disk space to download 150+GB of almost-all-parts-are-HD-apart-added-deleted-scene fan edits…

- DVD extended scene 4 “The Air Taxi sequence” was actually inserted in the DVD (HDTV/BD) and so I thought it’s useless, BUT… there are few seconds more at the end… what if I take the following shot from LD (which is the non-faded version of the one found on DVD etc.) and attach it at the end? I will “gain” two or three seconds… not much, but, following the mission of this project, it could work! The BD has better quality, and it will be used as main source; others only if/when needed; even if it’s true that OT scenes are “rough” and would stay better with the theatrical version, this project aims to incorporate as many scenes as possible, so I’ll use BD version as main source - it’s a fan edit, after all, not a preservation… still don’t know how good the final result could be; maybe it will lead the project to be split in two, one with the best possible quality (so it’s implicit some scenes will be discarded), and the other with all the scenes… “the more, the merrier” (^^,)
Updates:
- EP1 DVD deleted scenes clean and upscale task is almost done - just extended pod race grid should be encoded.

work someone on a Clean-up and restoration of deleted scenes?
Ordinarily yes I might share it freely online, but I run BookOfTheDead.ws, which uses masses of Evil Dead Trilogy material on the goodwill that it isn’t slapped with a copyright suit. Up to now that’s never been an issue (and I know other ED sites have had one or more issues). Online sharing of this DVD would be outright piracy on a grand scale and indeed pushing my luck with the site which comes first.
Plus only trading it as a physical DVD set between collectors means I retain control over the quality. I can properly print off the cover & disc arts as I designed them (on the right type of paper, cropped accurately), use decent Verbatim DVD-DL discs that will last and put them in a proper DVD case. You know, give someone a complete package. I’ve taken a good amount of time to craft this DVD, been waiting years for some of the items there. I want this DVD to be as special to the person who wants it as it is to me. Not just another disposable download among millions others that you click>watch>delete just because it’s there & free. Sounds a silly thing to be bothered about but there you go.
any chance to get it?
