if bingowings alternative plot laout was to be used, what would the opening be? something significant? this is afterall the new BEGINNING of star wars. and would this alternative opening relate to a possible alternative closing for ROTJ? it would be good if TPM could relate to ROTJ, like a mirrored version of it, starting all sunny and rosy then getting darker towards the end. maybe the colours could so this. naboo and endor could have a similar palette perhaps.
i was also thinking, could we scrap the gungans completely? what if the army is still in theed, and amidala opts for having the majority of her gathered forces, form a blockade at the main entrance of the palace while a smaller group makes for the viceroy? its not like they are necessary for getting quigon and obiwan to theed in the firstplace anymore, and even if the original plotline were used, they could just land closer to there in the firstplace.
has anyone been watching clone wars? a few months ago we saw 'senate commandos', their captain was this guy (blue one on left)
maybe this could be a concept for a pre-clone republic trooper? i like the open faced helmet.
could maul and sidious be on mustafar? it may make the planet like a sith hideout, and maybe some form of significance then maybe anakin wouldnt be reconstructed on coruscant but on mustafar. the planet could feature a few times perhaps?

how about rumours of a darth vader, like transmitions intercepted by the jedi. it would be an almost watchmen like reveal, when anakin thinks he has discovered darth vader (ie approaching palpy at his confession) palpatine could uncover "no anakin, YOU are darth vader", like anakin has already begun to fall by that point. events could follow on in a similar fashion. maybe anakin disappears for a while, to add mystery.
i guess it all comes down to whether anakin is revealed as darth vader. if not anakin could talk about vader in 3rd person all the time.

i get what you mean though! maybe cheese could be funny, with a really bad spanish dub and bad colouring. it could be like one of those over the top soaps.
do you think a REBORN style proect may work in this context? the multiple storyline strands would help keep the pace up and would provide loads more cliff hangars. the clone wars opening could be good for this, with the 'clone wars' title card replaced with alternative ones specific to film (someone did some good ones not so long ago) and the space ghost style intro?
just seen video 1, really like it. i always find it amuzing when the jedi guesture for a door to shut, especially as all they really need to do is either guesture at a button, or just let it open/shut automatically anyway. i may actually start guesturing at doors in shopping centres now just to be pedantic.:p

video 1 is still being weird, so ill give it an hour or so. i loved 2 though, especially the reorganisation of plot elements, its almost like sidious planned for yoda to enter so he could fry him.
i would love to see a battle between yoda and sidious to not have lightsabers. in the OT they are the only jedi not to have them. i know i keep mentioning it, but a dumbledore vs voldemort style fight would be amazing, although probably impossible to do.
the way you have editted yoda though, in an almost weakened state, would perhaps make the use of a lightsaber make sense, like he is more desperate.

love the ideas bingowings. i think your more linear storyline would be so much better. what do you think of these ideas? im sure your line of thought isnt too different.
one thing that bugged me about AOTC, is how camino not only supplied the endless swarms of troops under the nose of the republic, but also the starships and weaponry. i mean they could conquer the galaxy with those kinds of resources surely? im sure there is a legit EU explanation, but in the contex of stand alone films it seemed a bit extreme. it also seemed pretty quick how the jedi immediatly adjusted to their forces.
the point i am leading to, is could there somehow be a plot where a republic relief force, maybe with similarities to the star destroyers seen in AOTC show up? it would be good if this was the start of the clone wars, but just without the clones? the republic would have certainly 'crossed a line' like yoda discusses about the beginning of the clone wars at the end of AOTC.
maybe against the wishes of the Council, who opt not to get involved, dooku shows up with a fleet of stardestroyers, manned with non-clones? maybe sifo dias, could be aboard another ship that gets destroyed, so in AOTC, we may believe dooku ordered the clones creation?
it would be super hard to do, but who knows, 4-7 years time OT may be a bit more mobilised (one of us may win the lottery?:P)
