i really dont think lucas will be involved as much even if he writes the stories, it will still be made by someone else and that will be a GOOD thing

lucas has said the live action series wll not deal with main characters, takes place between ep 3 and 4 though, the cg series will just deal with the clone wars. so how will it deal with all the major questions left unanswered in the PT?

i thought the live action show would just be peripheral characters. i really doubt it will explain anything that was already explained in the movies themselves.
i do agree about the merchandising, which is probably why theyre making new shows

i agree with star wars as a tv series used to seem strange, but not as much anymore, since the prequels reminded me of something out of star trek tng.
btw if lucas and mccallum are secret gay lovers it would explain alot, the least of which is that mccallum sounds and acts like a fag

i dont mind the SE if hey had done all of cloud city right, take out the cheesy antics in mos eisley, delete the not really there wampa, make sidious look more mysterious without all the added dialogue. and of course get rid of that stupid revised han vs greedo part, which originally not only made han look like a badass, but was humorous too

i noticed the change with 97 editions. because i had seen the originals about 3 years before on the same screen, they looked like totally different films! they were so dark, and the colors kept pulsing on leias face, really wierd. i think the '95 versions were really the closest to me how they originally looked

i agree it wouldve been more dramatic to have someone die. i always thought the idea of han dying after he got out of carbonite wouldve been cruel though, and i like lando outrunning the fireball
