well the rots makeup artist said his process was better, because they used the slugs in rotj to cover up some crappy makeup. i still think the rotj makeup was incredible and didnt look like make up to me where rots makeup does

i like that lucas can give hollywood and the fans the finger just wish he wouldnt. does he realise all this hate would go away if he just released the oot? this is really where all this stems, although i doubt people would hate the prequels any less they would probably lighten up about them

And it especially annoys me when people think that's the reason the OT was made before the PT. True, the special effects are mostly what carry these movies, but there's hardly anything in any of them that couldn't have been accomplished to some degree with the effects made for the original Star Wars movies.

lucas still used alot of models more than even the ot trilogy combined, so saying he had to wait for the technology just seems like bullshit to me.

Let's examine the situation, had he told Luke the truth:

(Luke leaves Obi-Wan's, and Vader takes over the galaxy. Luke still eventually meets Leia, who he marries and they have inbred kids together.

i know he had to lie but about everything? lucas made a mistake by not adding a scene in the prequels where anakin asks obi wan to give his lightsaber to his son if anything happens to him
