like i said im glad you like them. i just wish lucas liked the oot as much as the fans do, or at least cared what the older fans think instead of totally disregarding them

hey if the prequels inspired people like adamwan then as far im concerned they were worthwhile. i was underwhelmed by all the prequels, felt really let down by tpm espescially, but had high hopes for them getting better. but by the last 10 minutes of rots i thought the whole affair was so anti climatic that it really fueled my hatred for the prequels. i mean were they really neccessary? we had to go through bad dialogue, sub par cgi, lame jar jar antics, not to mention bad continuity just for that? in the end it was better the prequels and everyones origins remain a mystery. if i were a film critic i would have given them all 2 star ratings, and thats not good for star wars films. as tv movies movies fine, but theatrical movies, thats unacceptable

i loved the books when they started coming out that was when star wars really felt dead and anything new having to do with star wars was a must. i read all those books up till ep1 and i still managed to read the darth maul book which i thought superior to ep1, and the first of the new jedi order series, after that it started to feel like star trek, too much a damn franchise. even though i'm sure those books were better written than the any of the prequels.
btw yes jedi was easily the least of the oot but it still felt like star wars and didnt overwhelm the other films like the prequels have

In the OT, we didn't know who exactly Uncle Owen was, or where Anakin came from. Now with the PT, Uncle Owen is Anakins step brother, and Anakin knows where he lives, plus Anakin is born on Tatooine. The PT is what made all these coincidences too much of a coincidence anymore where it just became stupid that they put Luke there.

well it couldve been rewritten in the pt that somehow luke ended up tatooine without obi wans help and that obi wan had to go protect since luke was already there. but youre right that plot element was always in the ot

i wish they had been marketed as phantom menace and so forth. i dont like that episode tag at the front it makes it sound to pretentious and i dont like seeing star wars on every packaging. maybe he didnt think the merchandise would sell if he only used the prequel titles . though i did notice revenge of the sith on merchandise more than the others. probabaly because it had the best title

they werent marketed as ep 4 5 and 6 except in the title crawl. blame lucas for allowing them to be marketed that way for so long. even he called it star wars up till ep1

personally im pissed they didnt just release hddvd in the beginning. i personally thought dvds were high def and was pissed when i found out they werent, whats the point in releasing them if theyre arent high def seeing as how high def stations look better
