Halloween (1978) The 2018 Prequel edit (Released)
Time

Hi Lantern51, Just finished watching your edit and really enjoyed. I liked the added scenes from Halloween II, I thought it made Michael a bit more menacing like we see in the new Halloween. Will admit after seeing this it has me more pumped for Halloween Kills which is out soon😁.
Anyone here who is a Halloween fan or even someone looking for something good to watch on Halloween should give this edit a watch.

Thank you once again Lantern51 for sharing this with me.

Star Wars: A New Hope DEVASTATOR EDITION (V.1 RELEASED)
Time

One idea would be in Hal’s semi-special edition that almost wasn’t he did something that was awesome, when they are in Kenobi’s home and he gives Luke his dad’s light saber he says “I wanted you to have this when you were old enough” instead of “Your father wanted you to have this when you were old enough”. I thought this was brilliant and something I had never even thought of but obviously makes perfect sense as Anakin didn’t know about Luke and would make more sense that Obi1 wanted him to have it.

I’m sure Hal wouldn’t mind you using it if you ask him.

Also, Can I get some requests or ideas?

Well, I’d selfishly enjoy having a 19SE-sourced set of all relevant shots with R2’s blue-red light ‘fixed’ so others (me) could steal.

Vader’s lights would be the other thing in that category.

The other things that strike me, be they from Adywan’s work or in general are:

  • The lack of holograms in ANH. I like Adywan’s holographic display at the rebel base during the Death Star assault.

  • Fixing jump cuts during lightsaber ignitions. Something like Adywan’s recent clip, too, to adjust the color and bring a sense of greater consistency to Luke’s saber without erasing the character of the original effects. Sort of made it look about the same as the new Ben v Vader effects look relative to the original version of them.

  • Removing the added rats to Mos Eisley, and recreating that shot of traffic from the original but using the SE version of the backdrop.

  • Any non-ringed explosion for Alderaan would be great to field

  • Replace the black 3PO “Death Star droid” with a K2-SO model instead

  • Replace the shot of the rebel fighters heading toward the Death Star, perhaps with something closer to the original version; the SE shot looks bad and the R2 droid’s panels stick out as obviously incorrect.

  • R2 with blue panels in space, like ESB and ROTJ (SE)

  • Luke with purple hair just during the medal ceremony

Everything this man says😁

The Force Awakens: Starlight (V1.1 Released!)
Time

Hi NeverarGreat, thank you for sharing your edit with me.
Just watched this tonight straight after work and really enjoyed.

  • I loved the colour grade that you gave Jakku as it gives it a whole new feel and on first viewing of TFA I thought Jakku was Tatooine.

  • The Island drawing at Rey’s home was done amazingly.

  • Having Kylo meditate after interigateing Poe was a really good idea as it shows him dealing with his inner conflict.

  • All the cuts and transitions are smooth and seamless

I loved all the other changes also, bit too many to mention, this I’d definitely my go to version of tfa awakens and is definitely up there with Hal’s and Digimod’s amazing edits.

Thank you once again NeverarGreat.

How many times have you bought the movies?
Time

I didn’t own the OT on VHS, only recordings that had been on TV (😬in LP all 3 on 1 cassette 😭).

(2004)
I bought the 2004 OT Silver DVD Boxset as well as the PT DVD’s.

(2012)
I then purchased the 2011 Blu Rays of both PT and OT and to be honest I wasn’t thrilled with what we got, yeah they were in HD but just didn’t seem the same and by this time I had forgotten about the changes that I hated, mainly the Jabba scene in ANH and Jedi Rocks ROTJ.

(2015)
I purchased the infamous GOUT releases, not knowing what I was actually getting as I had not read up on them properly😧. I will admit that I don’t regret owning them tho as much as they are hated they are still official (Sort of Original) Theatrical release.

(2017)
I have pre-ordered all the releases of the ST along with RO and Solo.

And those are my Star Wars purchase’s, not a massive collection by any means.

(Off Subject)

I only heard about this site roughly at the end of 2019 beginning of 2020 and I am so grateful to everyone who contributes here and all the work everyone puts in. Never in a million years would I have believed what could be achieved by fans, it truly is incredible.

Imhotep's Skywalker Saga (EP1-8 + CW03 & R1) (V2 Released)
Time

Hi Imhotep, I have watched up to Episode VI A New Dawn and I have really been enjoying.
I won’t put any spoilers but I love the end of episode IV and the way it is explained in episode VI.

Personal thought is episode II needs a little fine tuning as in the cuts, some are abrupt and some black screen for a few seconds. Other than that I have really been enjoying, Good work👍

The dialogue in my clip has been altered from the version Sherlock posted; I mixed together the phrase “am a Jedi” from a few different sources, but in blending the phonemes to get the word “am”, there’s a slight hum from the crossfade which is unavoidable (it’s simply a side-effect of how blending separate pieces of audio works). I hoped the lightsaber hum would be enough to render it unnoticeable.

Here it is without the lightsaber.

Sounds amazing Captain 👌👍
