At the very least, I think the Star Wars filmstock was fading into the pink range. This would (I would think) knock some of the colors out of whack. This (or an attempt to match it?) may be why the special edition scenes have a pink cast to them in the 1997 versions, but not in the 2004.
Or maybe I'm entirely wrong.

Since you are familiar with this sort of thing, do you know if there are longplays for games like Final Fantasy VII, Legend Of Zelda or Lunar? That would be awesome.

Also, what sound mix is used in the 2006 OUT? I'm still not clear.

I think I just used SubRip...
Wow - I am amazed. Like I said, when I was going through the subtitle stream I had ripped in SubRip, I kept getting incomplete lines of text and other gobbledy-gook. It was like the stream was corrupt. Hmmm. Well, do you have the ripped subs for ESB and ROTJ as well?

I have checked it and you're right, they're synchronised to the EditDroid bootleg so there may be some small differences.
I can give you the subtitles synchronised to my PAL 2006 version, if you want, I can put those here, but you'll have to convert their fps from 25 to 23.976 in something like Subtitle Workshop.
Thanks for double-checking. That would be awesome if you could email me the srt's. andy_k_250 at yahoo dot com.

Just please tell me that somewhere in the middle of the film, you don't have something like "Pittrek Rules!" snuck in.

Also, do you have these for ESB/ROTJ?

Does anyone here have an accurate and complete rip of the subtitles for the 2006 OUT trilogy (NTSC)? I have been having a terrible time extracting these. When running what I have been able to extract through an OCR, it cannot match characters because the subtitles seem to have been partially interlaced. And because of this, some lines of subtitles end up being just unrecognizable globs of pixels.
I found subtitles allegedly for the OUT on opensubtitles.org (and they seem correct, no typo’s), but by the end of the movie the subs are off by nearly a minute.
At the very least, is there a way to “stretch” subtitles (i.e. automatically edit/adjust the timecode) by setting the appropriate times for the first and last subtitles, and then having the ones in the middle displace themselves appopriately to match?
I don’t know what experiences other people have had with subtitles, but these things are a pain (for me at least). However, I still would really like to have the isolated subtitle tracks to use. Does anyone here have a large collection of the subtitle tracks for the Star Wars Trilogy, SE included? Making these more available could make a lot of people’s lives easier, I think.
