I agree also, I have donated and don't mind to do so, when I can, if it means I can get treasures that are not going to be released. I can't put a price tag on that. If I have $5 extra this month or $50 I WILL donate to keep it going.

I have downloaded 20 to 30 torrents (OOP Items), thats about $400 worth of DVDs. Well worth $5 to $20 a month. If everbody that downloads donates that much every month we can keep this site up and keep getting the torrents. When I downloaded "EditDroid" SW there was 44 leechers at one time on it. That is enough right there at $5 a piece to keep it going, and there are way more people on the site than that.

SO COME ON PEOPLE DONATE!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what you meant in your last post but I think that it is one of two things:

first thing that it may be...you somehow wiped out existing posts. well, to get all existing headers in a group do the following...in agent go to alt.binaries.starwars and on the top bar of agent go to the "online" drop-down menu and choose "get all headers in selected groups". That will get all of the posts that your newsserver has for alt.binaries.starwars then you should be able to download what you missed.

second thing that it may be...your ISP's newsserver has bad retention and the posts timed out. In that case you may have to shell out a few bucks to get a premium newsserver (well worth it). I use the "unlimited dsl" account from news.astraweb.com for $15 a month but they also have many other accounts to choose from that can fit pretty much any budget.

hopefully with my scattershot response I solved the issue.

D.O.

p.s. the tutorial is on temporary hiatus...I have a big new project in the works.
Until then go here for usenet tutorial help: http://www.slyck.com/ng.php

I was not not "Getting New Headers" each time I went on and I just thought no-one was posting anything new. I think I figured it out now, a little late for the Wookie Split Screens which is what I was after but oh well. Maybe a repost or I will get them when Rikter posts them.

Thanks for all your help.

Ok, I have "Agent" and I am on alt.binaries.starwars group and the last date anything was posted was 2-8-05, which is when I started on this. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to update something or has nothing been posted since the 8th? Can someone help please? I have read on here where things have been posted, but I can't find anything new.

Nevermind, I figured it out.

I agree to a point and the reason is I have been downloading for 2 days now (took 2 days to figure out) and everything I have downloaded is either incomplete or corrupt. I have yet to burn a DVDR. It would be nice if it worked??? I am going to try some more. Files download faster but what good does it do if you cant use them.

I would rather donate to MYSPLEEN, download in 12 to 24 hours (complete & not corrupt) and burn in 20 minutes.

I've thought about even putting a PayPal link up on my site about it.

That would be a great idea about putting a link on your site to donate through paypal. Thats how I donate on Myspleen.net, just click the link and your there, makes it EASY for ANYONE to donate.

Thanks for the "Wookie Groomer" Rikter, you the man. I also have have several blanks waiting for this and all other torrents which I will be giving away for FREE to several friends and shipping some to other people I know from the web in various locations, also for FREE.

A big word up to RIKTER, MYSPLEEN & of course our little slice of heaven ORIGINALTRILOGY.com.

I can't say thanks enough to you and all the other guys, you know who you are, for everything I have received the past year I have been here. I am looking forward to the future projects going down and I hope everyone sticks around for the long haul ahead and ignores all the bad stuff.

I agree with MeBeJedi. It burns me up that all you guys are working so hard and spending so much time on your projects and someone says anything bad about it. If you dont like what they are doing then DO IT YOURSELF AND LEAVE THESE HARDWORKING PEOPLE ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its one thing to give constructive critisium and another to tear someones efforts down. I hate it that we are losing the good guys and the bad one is still here. I will be using the IGNORE USER function which I do anyway. Please guys dont leave us because of 1 or 2 bad apples, ignore them. I do and I dont respond to the comments. I bite my tongue alot of times when reading some of the messages, but I continue on without a response.

LOL!

Next time they refuse to fix the breaks, take them to a small room and show them those movies with car accidents they show to people who lose the driver's license. I'd recomend "Bloody Lanes", "My other car is a coffin", "Herbie's Final Mistake", "If you can read this sign you're too dead", and of course, every movie by the Keystone Cops.

Whats worse than that is another thing I hate. The same dumbass Redneck that does'nt do the brake job comes back 10,000 miles later for his next late oil change and he still did not fix the brakes, and this idiot is out there on the road driving among us.

My cousin, who is more than 20 years my senior, and I tried to replace my the breaks on my mom's car one saturday, and ever since the breaks make a very loud screech whenever they are used.

Cheap brake pads is what causes this noise, get a Ceramix pad and it will quit. Also make sure the rotors were re-surfaced.

Yes that was the tour, my neck was sore for days after that one .

The gunman supposedly also was saying something about them stealing some of his song lyrics. What a dumbass, glad they shot him, one less idiot on the planet.

Don't know Damageplan at all, but I knew the Pantera of old and saw them live here in Chicago at the Aragon Ballroom (or "Brawlroom" as many Chicagoans lovingly refer to it). Back in the day when he was Diamond Darrell. Ah, the Vulgar Display of Power tour. Damn, that man can shred. He will be missed. And it's a shame the cop shot the gunman dead. He would have been torn to bits by fans in the crowd if they had stopped him themselves.

RIP Darrell.

I saw Pantera with White Zombie here in Louisville,Ky and it was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. You owe to yourself Bossk to take a listen to Damageplan, sounds almost like Pantera with Dimebag on lead Guitar and Vinnie Paul, also from Pantera, on drums. Not as good as Pantera though.

If you have not heard yet, in Columbus Ohio at Alrosa Villa nightclub 5 people shot dead including Darrell Abbott, Damageplan & former Pantera guitarist. The gunman was thankfully shot by a Police officer before harming anyone else. I am a fan of both bands and have been to several concerts. I will miss his music. Sad day in heavy metal. A Mad, Mad world we live in.

What's a THX Optmizer?

There is a TV setup on each Star Wars DVD that has you set the color contrast brightness tint and other various settings, after this is done correctly you should not see the matte boxes.

<strong>The &quot;Dr. Gonzo&quot; Trilogy DVD Info and Feedback Thread</strong> (Released)
Time
Just finished watching these with my 6 year old daughter, (who loves Star Wars), and I gotta say for being made 3 years ago these rank right up there with rest, good sound, picture, easter eggs and menus. Only bad thing I can say about this set is the few seconds of missing Leia welding footage (which my daughter noticed), other than that good job overall Dr Gonzo. Another set to add to my ever growing Star Wars OOT collection.

There's no point logging in and watching someone else play the "victim" - it's almost funny, but not quite.

Anyways, I will miss you guys, and these boards were fun, but I've a bad taste in my mouth and need to move on. Good luck to all those willing to put real effort into their transfers.

This is sad to here MeBeJedi, I really wish people could just be thankful with what they are getting from these fine folks HARD WORK time and effort, I know if I wanted a different version of the transfers I would do it myself instead criticising someone elses hard work, but because of this we are losing a good persons conversation on this board. Good Luck and I look forward to the day I can see your hard work MeBeJedi.

Censorship of the original films
Time
I LOVE Star Wars, not only are the movies entertaining but talking about them is to.

I am thankful for the different versions I have now and can't wait to see the hard work, time & effort that others have put into them. By the way, thanks eveyone, you know who you are.

I have 3 different sets of Laser Discs, they have differences. I watched them in theaters years ago when they came out, several times each film and I remember seeing some differences in those in different viewings, so what is the original? What ever you see it as. If you don't like what see DON'T WATCH IT!!!!

4 or 5 frames of Light Saber corrections is NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but when you criticize someone for something they are doing that you could do as well, is not right. In other words if you want a different version THEN MAKE IT. No time or money, then don't criticize someone elses work.

I had a 46 hour wait when I first started, but if you DONATE a little cash (not much $5 or more) the wait went to 0 and I downloaded TCW and allready watched it. Like Rikter said it is about sharing. Also after you download something let it keep seeding, this also helps your ratio. I have donated $20 so far and I have downloaded 2 different OOT, BOTF, TCW, 5 B&B Banned Episodes, Season 1 of Parker Lewis. 18 DVDs full. I would say that is well worth $20. And still much more to chose from. I have also shared these lovely items with several friends for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Rikter, MYSPLEEN & Originaltrilogy.com, YAW ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
