That’s sad, infuriating and troubling to hear, ady. Have people really lost the ability to isolate things they may like - or not - without the need to inform the world of their points of view in such a hateful and threatening manner? It seems increasingly so. As you say, it’s seemingly becoming the norm - worryingly so.

Hope your Mrs is okay after that, and also those 3 twats think again as to just why they were laughed at.

Dre is spot on - respect; it seems to be missing for some of these pricks.

I saw Chris’ response to a post re the ‘far left political propaganda film’ on your facebook page - I think he nailed it.

Yeh, it does seem to be the norm now, sadly. It’s almost as if there is something missing in their lives , or just plain ego, that if they hate something, the world must too.

I kept that one comment on the page because it wasn’t one of the bad ones, plus it showed what a bunch of numpties this lot are.

Don’t those idiots know some female pilots were actually filmed for ROTJ?

Talking shit online is one thing, harassing someone for wearing a TLJ shirt in person? These morons don’t even deserve to be called Star Wars fans.

Can’t people who make threatening remarks on facebook be reported?

Try telling them about the female pilots and the response is almost always " they were deleted for a reason so your argument is invalid"

I reported every post and message that was threatening. Facebook doesn’t care. They claim it doesn’t go against their policies. Yet they are quick enough to act if you post something copyrighted or give you a temp ban for the most ridiculous reasons ( someone i know called his neighbours white trash and they kicked him off facebook for 30 days). They allow racist crap, threats etc all the time. Makes you wonder the types that are policing that site. This is the same reply i got off them to every one i reported:

So threatening someone with some real sick shit and saying i would get a bullet doesn’t go against their code of conduct. Right, got it facebook.

I don;t even bother to engage with them any more. Just delete and block/ ban. They want the retaliation and hate it when you ignore them. They demand to be heard 😉

I wonder if it’s going to come down to the man himself, George Lucas, to tell these fans to knock it off or get lost. Gene Roddenberry once had to tell some misguided Trekkers back in the 1970’s to lay off protesting Star Wars or so the story goes.

Sadly, George is kind of responsible for the start of the Anti-Disney brigade. The moment he did the interview and called Disney “white slavers” and started acting like a child because Disney threw out his ideas, the ball started rolling. Those that see themselves as loyal to george, are now some of the most aggressive “we hate TLJ , Disney & Kennedy” commenters. They see Disney Star Wars as going against George. Even when George said he liked TLJ, it’s too late. They now claim anyone in the film industry, and others, who say TLJ is good, are being paid by Disney. They even go after Mark Hamill when he said he was wrong to be worried about Luke and realised as soon as he was filming. But they use edited interviews to say he is lying and conveniently ignore the ones he made a year before TLJ was out where he said it was down to him not like being taken out of his comfort zone. And then you have the off the cuff remarks, where people don;t seem to get Marks humour most of the time.

‘WHY WE FIGHT: a Star Wars fan film about the insidiousness of fascism and what drives people to rebel against overwhelming odds’

Am intrigued to see what they come up with - as well as adywan’s superb quality work - and am looking forward to seeing more updates on there 😃

Within minutes of me posting the link on my Revisited Facebook page, it was inundated with negative comments. Ridiculous ones about how it is playing up to Kennedy’s female agenda, how they refuse to support both this project, and now my own Revisited project, because i’m supporting this fan film that is supposedly a far left propaganda film, how i’m lucky i don’t live in America because i would likely get a bullet. Then you had the comments about how i can stick my project up my ass if i’m supporting the SJW and the forced diversity Disney crap , and the same if i dare to add female pilots into ROTJ (ha ha, they’re really going to hate me then when they see who the pilots are) , along with a few direct threats for the same reasons, then they started posting how Trump is the best president ever and if i don’t like him i can “f***ing move to another country” (bloody idiots , i don;t even live in the USA), even though nowhere was Trump even mentioned in anything. And finally you had the blatant racist/ misogynistic remarks. I felt like i spend the next week just deleting posts.

To top it all, Sunday i was in Telford with my wife. I was wearing my Last Jedi T-shirt and, while we were waiting in a queue , three twenty-something year old guys approached and asked me how i could possibly wear that “thing” . The second i said it’s because i liked the film, the abuse started. Apparently my wife must be a lesbian because i was a “dickless w**ker” if i liked any of the disney crap that’s “just for women and gays”. They were lucky there was CCTV in the shop and that my wife was with me (plus i had only just got over a nasty bout of heat stroke), because i was about to lose it. Funny how they really didn’t like it when i said that at least i had a relationship and how the only way they would get sex with anything close to a female is by putting lipstick on their right hand. Not so brave all of a sudden when most of the shop started laughing at them. They left quickly when the security guard finally approached, but not before shouting some vile shit at us both when they were safely at a distance. Screw them. I will like what i want.

But, it’s the type of thing i am having to deal with on an almost daily basis on the net. And it’s only getting worse.

Pardon me if I missed this discussion (I haven’t had time to read the entire thread yet) but for the cargo shuttle replacement is Ady using the Zeta-class cargo shuttle from Rogue One or the Sentinel-class shuttle from A New Hope Special edition? Just curious. Overly curious. But I can wait.

It will be a cross between the Tydirium and the Zeta class.

I think he’s subtly trolling. He’s too clever to come at people directly.

The Lucasfilm employee who posted a selfie while drinking from a mug that says “fanboy tears” on it is trolling, though.

Except that Andi wasn’t trolling anything. It was a picture that was posted just after TFA was released, now the anti-TLJ/ Disney brigade got hold of it, erased the date on the original tweet and claimed it was a recent pic of her trolling the anti-TLJ crowd. The fanboy tears thing was all about the death of Han Solo, nothing more.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

There’s nothing wrong with the taking off shot. It’s not flipped at all. The planet is on the correct side. You can even see it should be on the right in the picture of the schematics table you posted and when the ships are heading from the planet to the death star.

And the planet wouldn’t be orange when viewing through a blue atmosphere

maybe it was a bluray frame in SSE 1.6?

Only missing LPP frames were replaced with the bluray.

I didn’t work on this section of the film for the SSE, but chances are good that the guy who graded it was consulting other post '85 sources during the color grading - like the GOUT and the Japanese Special Collection - and none of these references had this brightness so it was ‘corrected’ for the SSE.

Both the GOUT and the Blu-Ray have the extended brightness:

STAR WARS: EP VI -RETURN OF THE JEDI "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - ** PRODUCTION HAS NOW RESTARTED **
Time

Just one more day to get your pilot audition videos in.

Thanks to all those that have submitted so far. The response has been pretty great. I will be contacting each and every person who submitted their video on Wednesday to let them know if they have been successful in getting one of the pilot roles or not.

In the mean time, while we are on a pilot theme, here is a short video showing the new colour grading of the beginning of the Battle of Yavin for the HD version of ANH:R. No FX have been done so far, this is just to give you a taste of how it will look compared to the official Blu-Ray.

STAR WARS: EP VI -RETURN OF THE JEDI "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - ** PRODUCTION HAS NOW RESTARTED **
Time

With just 3 days left to go to submit your audition videos to snag a part in ROTJ:R, it seems interest is very slim. Just 2 videos submitted so far. 😦

I will extend the submission date by one week ( 2nd July) but that is as late as i can have it, with everything that needs to follow with the planning etc.

Oh, and please remember; this shoot is taking place in the Midlands, in the UK. So, if you have mentioned that you were interested in giving it a go, it would not be worth it if you live outside of the UK i’m afraid.

STAR WARS: EP VI -RETURN OF THE JEDI "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - ** PRODUCTION HAS NOW RESTARTED **
Time

Do you want to be in ROTJ:R?

Well here’s your chance…

Auditions for the B-Wing pilots are now open and here is how you can enter…

Just make a short video of yourself acting out a scene ( doesn’t have to be a scene from the films) as a Rebel pilot during a battle. If you can interact with someone off camera, as if you are communicating via comlink, then even better, as this will be happening during shooting. Then upload the finished video to youtube ( make sure you set the video to “unlisted” for your privacy) and send the link to the video to:

starwarsrevisited@hotmail.co.uk. (Mark it “B-Wing Audition” )

Now the only criteria that is set for this is that you must be able to be available for a weekends filming in Wolverhampton, UK, during October ( will likely be the second weekend in October) . You may be needed for both days filming, just in case any pick up shots are needed after reviewing the days footage. I am looking for 4/ 5 pilots, but even if you don’t make it into the final selection for a pilot, you could still be asked to be a reserve that would be able to help out on the day . Age, sex etc does not matter.

Videos need to be submitted by Monday 25th June and successful applicants will be notified shortly after to begin arrangements.

Your video will not be shown in public ( on the extra features for ROTJ:R ) if you so wish ( so please add a note to the video link email to express this)

GOOD LUCK 😃

Should Poe and Rey meeting for the first time be removed ? As far as I remember they both were only 1 meter away for the other during the “map sequence” of TFA ? This scene in TLJ was… odd… as if Johnson didn’t even bother to watch TFA to be sure or to ask the LFL continuity committee…

She may have stood near him, but did they interact? No.

The Last Jedi: Official Review and Opinions Thread ** SPOILERS **
Time

You only have to look around places like facebook to see how the RT audience scores have been manipulated. Campaigns were started before the film even come out to give it negative reviews. Not just star wars pages either. 99% of the time, RT was the place they aimed for. After the film came out it got even worse. The amount of posts i had to delete on my page where people had posted links to these type of campaigns was astounding. They even added getting people to upvote the prequels on RT to make TLJ score look even worse. Just check out the ROTS reviews and see just how many new ones have suddenly appeared since TLJ.

There’s a real dark side to the Star Wars fandom and it came out in force after TLJ. The amount of the so called reviews and the negative comments/ attacks on social media that point their hatred for it towards the fact that there is more diversity, more women taking the lead roles, Disney is pandering to the SJW’s etc is disgusting.

The full size X-Wings have one stripe, the physical models have five, and the CG models have two. It’s a mess!

The original models all had different stripes and paintwork. The CG models all used Red 2, with just the nose stripe altered in one model. The SE really messed things up.

Only just got my internet back up and running and it looks like i have a bit of catching up to do, so i will reply to some of the suggestions etc as soon as possible

Animatronics like the ones created for the cristal wolves but never used in the finished movie and then in full CGI ?

The animatronic foxes are seen in the film. You couldn’t really expect them to use an practical creature for when they are walking/ running. The Canto Bight Fathiers are fully animatronic ( no cg enhancements) when in the stables and in close ups. They only used CG for the running ones.

Anyone else totally disregard Leia being Luke's sister?

Yep, Georgie boy was definitely making things up as he went along. He never should’ve fired Gary Kurtz. Return of the Jedi was originally going to be about as dark as The Empire Strikes Back but George scrapped that idea much to my chagrin. Instead they went with the version of episode 6 that follows a lot of the same beats as episode 4 does. It’s also quite similar to episode 7. Too much repetition in this saga if ya ask me.

“Return of the Jedi was originally going to be about as dark as The Empire Strikes Back”

The way Lucas described “book three” back in Dec 1975 says otherwise:

“In the third book I want the story to be just about the soap opera of the Skywalker family, which ends with the destruction of the Empire.”

The third “book” they talks about was NOT ROTJ. This was to be the later episodes. Right up until ROTJ was in pre-production, ROTJ was not to be the final episode. The confrontation with the Emperor and defeat of the empire was to have been in those later episodes. Episode 6 WAS originally going to be darker. With Luke being separated from his friends at the end, going off to search for his sister (who was not Leia). When Lucas decided he didn’t want to make any more SW films, he brought those plans forward, dropped the search for the “other” Skywalker and made Leia the sister.

I didn't like The Force Awakens. Should I see The Last Jedi in theaters? (NO SPOILERS)
Time

Mjolnir Mark IV said:

I ended up seeing it in theater. To anyone else in my situation, I would say wait for video, or maybe even never see it.

Hopefully nobody takes that advice and makes their mind up for themselves. My daughters b/f hated TFA and didn’t want to go and see TLJ because of it. He was even more adamant not to go see it after the backlash he saw online after it was released. I finally convinced him to at least give it a try and to make his own mind up, ignoring what he has read. And now he is pissed. But not because he didn’t like the film. He loved it. But he was pissed because he left it too late and is now unable to go and see it again in the cinema because its ended its run and now has to wait until the Blu-Ray comes out. He is actually gobsmacked at the negative reactions the film got. But he did hate the Leia in space scene 😉
