I was going to ask if you're using the original untouched shot of the Enterprise when she's leaving the spacedock? You know? Where you can see the black arm that comes out from underneath the ship and covers the stars as it passes in front of them.

They fixed/erased it for the Director's Edition.

That's what you see in this pic

The bottom shot must be an early FX/lighting test pic.  The hull doesn't have NCC-1701 on it.

Info Wanted: When they restored Star Wars for the '04 DVDs...

It took them 20 years to make the last one. Is Indy going to be a grumpy old man for this. It is funny though the last couple of years 80's stars who are old now are playing their 80's roles. Sylvester Stallone 2 times.

Hollywood has become paranoid of new ideas.  They'd rather pull old ones out of retirement or obscurity rather than come up with something truly new and creative.

Also, Speilberg needs to grow a pair.  If George ever comes up with another alien idea, Steven needs to stop it dead in it's tracks.

Ironic, since there's stories about Lucas having to reign Spielberg in on "Raiders"

GL: "OK, Steven, you said you were just going to kill 'a couple of Germans in this scene."

SS: "Nazis.  I'm killing Nazis.  I like Germans."

GL: "Fine.  How many is 'a couple'?"

SS: "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6....10 guys.  That's 'a couple'."

GL: "That's a dozen!"

SS: "George, I'm making a really big movie here."

GL: "Yes, I realize that, Steven, but there's a difference between a simple murder and a cult massacre!"

Are those actual real quotes? Did Spielberg actually get overenthusiastic about killing off Nazis?

Taken from "Skywalking - the Life and Films of George Lucas".  I have an original copy from the mid 80's.  Don't know if subsequent releases were edited or changed in any way.

Another off-topic post, but related to earlier conversation: I just saw a trailer on TV for Fanboys! "Coming to Blu-Ray and DVD June 2nd." That was a surprise.

Well, either they changed the date after the commercial was made or BJ's broke the release date because I bought it there last week.

Terminator Salvation declared Rotten by Top Critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

So, since Terminator Salvation starts off at a 6.5 for me, I have a strong feeling that once McG's supposed director's cut comes out, a fanedit of that can bump it up to about a 7 or 7.5.

Depends what, if any, deleted material there will be to work with for an edit.  Also, see this article for the good and bad of what T:S was supposed to be.

I did notice one mistake where someone screwed up dates.  At one point, Kyle says he was born in 1975.

The movie takes place in 2018.  That puts Kyle at 43 years old in the film.  Kyle gets sent back to 1984 from 2029.  That means Kyle is 54 when he goes back to save Sarah.

Methinks Kyle was supposed to have said 1995.  That makes him 23 in this film and 34 when he saves Sarah.
