Is there a way to add a note to the torrent with those instructions for future downloads?
Not to mention that now that BD players are down into the sub-$150 range, by the time you go through all the effort to convert, edit, burn and troubleshoot, you might as well just buy a BD player and be done with it.

It includes EVERY bit of extra footage that's not duplicates/alternates of the same scene, as well as removing all the DE shots. FF had to re-release it because of a couple of minor glitches in the first version - a stray DE shot that he missed removing and a few frames of black in the editing of the Kirk/Spock/McCoy lounge scene after the wormhole sequence.

Well, when I went to the site, it said "Registrations are closed", but after someone sent me an invite, turns out I had an account there anyway. Must have set it up a while ago and forgot.

ANH, TESB and TPM so far. ROTJ will come about probably when he's past the color correction stage for ROTJ:R, which is at least a year or so away, depending when he finishes TESB:R.
As far as compensating him, he needs all the donations he can to buy stuff he needs to finish TESB:R. PayPal him via his email address in his signature.
US TV's being able to play PAL will happen when they figure out how to make money off of it beyond just charging more for the sets themselves.

I tested this with a standard DVD player and it only remembers the position if the unit was directly powered off while the disc was playing. Haven't tested it with my new BD player yet, but I'm guessing it will work the same way.
Boost - I think the double standard comes from the level of involvement in getting the child to participate. Children have to learn how to read, they don't have to learn how to sit and stare at a TV screen.
Well, I'm getting there. Downloaded it again from a torrent and burned with IMGBurn. This time it plays but it has the sound sync problem that others have mentioned.

Convert the ratios the other way - multiply up instead of dividing down.
1.33:1=4:3
1.78:1=5.34:3
1.85:1=5.55:3
2.35:1=7.05:3
Tried burning the same ISO with Nero. I think one time I just double-clicked on it and Nero fired up automatically, so I couldn't have done it wrong.

Interesting, Murry. So maybe it's a coding on the disc that tells the player whether or not to remember the position rather than being a programming feature of the player?
That almost makes more sense, as some discs won't let you hit the "Menu" button during the FBI warning or previews and others will.
Sony BDP-S360. I think it's still the 006 firmware and they just came out with 007 about two months ago, so I'm working on upgrading it. Still, the disc should work either way, right?
As for IMGBurn, I don't know how I did it before, but when I just tried it now, I seem to get stuck in a loop. I select the ISO and it tells me "You should have selected the MDS file - we'll do it for you". It tries to do that, at which point it spits back "Unsupported file format". I'm on IMGBurn 2.5.0.0, whereas my previous attempts were with the earlier version 2.4.3.0 (I think...don't remember the numbers...point is, I recently upgraded)
