Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

I don't think that anyone that was going to use the files to make their own discs were planning on uploading them anywhere.  I think it's just more for their own personal use for different reasons.

For example, Harmy is releasing two BD discs (one for movie, one for bonus stuff) and Chyron wanted everything on one disc, so he's just making his own when he has everything.  (I think that's right)

I can hear the other tracks just fine, but not the DTS tracks. Can you fix it?

Not to take away from the sarcasm you're due from Frink but....  ever think it might be on your end?  I can hear all the tracks just fine on mine. :)

Maybe a little more information about how you're playing it (vlc, media player, etc)

DIVX, which plays mkvs but it goes faulty when it comes to DTS sounds, but plays AC3 just fine.

(blink)

A little off-topic, but here's the latest Star Watch news:

With Star Wars now part of the Disney fold, most of the known universe was waiting for some Episode VII news to emerge from the Mouse House’s biennial D23 Expo in California. But even as the studio spilled beans on the rest of its upcoming slate, they remained strangely tight-lipped about their lucrative new toy – Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn even told fans, “I wish I could tell you more, but it will come soon.”

Thankfully it’s not been a totally fallow month on the Star Wars gossip front. In arguably the most talked about cinematography news ever, JJ Abrams’ regular director of photography Dan Mindel has confirmed that Episode VII will be lensed on 35mm film. Why’s that a big deal? Well, Attack Of The Clones and Revenge Of The Sith blazed a trail for shooting on digital, so the return to film looks like a declaration of an intent to make the movies feel more “real” – especially coming after Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy had said that they’ll be using proper locations and practical effects where possible. It also suggests that the film’s inevitable 3D will be a conversion from “flat” images – the approach Abrams took on Star Trek Into Darkness.

Less concrete – but no less intriguing – is the rumour running on various websites that Episode VII’s release will be pushed back from summer 2015 to December. It would be a break from Star Wars’ traditional May release slot, but would seem a logical decision. Never has a summer looked more crowded than 2015’s, with new Avengers, Superman/Batman, Pirates Of the Caribbean, Independence Day and Terminator movies all due. And with The Hobbit trilogy done and dusted by then, the end of the year’s looking pretty quiet. Besides, it’ll give JJ more time to make sure the Force really is with this one.

Also, I suppose that if, after the muxing's done, I try re-muxing the file and it goes fine, it's safe to assume that the same error didn't occur again, right?

Yeah, once you have it muxed with everything in it, try remuxing it with just the 5.1 DTS soundtrack and see what happens.  If all goes well and you can see the cantina scene just fine, everything should be good.

Also, I wasn't going to say anything until someone else did, but I'll mention it because I want to see if it's my eyes, the 3 different screens I watched it briefly on to confirm, or the video but....

When the dinner scene on Tatooine comes up where the cup is sitting on the table that was referred to as green, I slightly noticed the green tinge but let it go because the rest of the scene looked great.  (This happened a couple of other times throughout the movie as well.)

But... continuing to watch, I noticed that it gets *really* green while the Falcon is blasting out of Mos Eisley.  Not the actual shot of the ship flying away, but the interior front shots of the cast are noticeably green, especially when compared to the interior shots from behind them looking out of the viewport.  A few other Falson shots are very green as well

I tried to let it go but as I mentioned, this issue would continue to crop up every now and then during the movie - especially during a lot of the interior Death Star scenes where everything looked a green-ish/gray.

Like I said, I just want to confirm this with others to help out if possible...not to slam Harmy's work, because the scenes that don't seem green to me look amazing.  I had only watched a few minutes of the movie last night before posting how awesome it looked and I felt bad a little bit while continuing to watch it after saying that, but again - there were tons of scenes where everything really shined.

Actually, the first thing I did was load it up into mkvmerge last night so I could remove all but one audio track to easily stream it across my wireless network. (I still keep an original around because I like the commentaries, etc) While doing so, I had the very first 5.1 track selected and all others unchecked and started the process.  I noticed that the 'time remaining' kept going up about 1/3 of the way through the process and then I saw the error log window.  It kept repeating at a very fast rate:

"Warning: DTS_Header problem: invalid source PCM resolution"

I let it go and it finally errored out after a few more minutes, unable to continue.

So, I unchecked the 5.1 DTS track and went for Track 5, the 93 LD AC3 version because I really wanted to watch it last night.  Well, it coughed up about 5-6 timecode errors during the re-muxing but said that it was able to recover each one, so I let it go.

This is just one of them:

"(filename):Error in the Matroska file structure at position 7508142148. Resyncing to the next level 1 element.
The last timecode processed before the error was encountered was 00:45:37.9020000000 .
Resyncing successfaul at position 7517875330"

I went into our living room to watch on the big screen and at the point ray_afraid mentions above, the screen just blacks out for a moment - then it continues on.  I just thought it was my media box having being glitchy (it's been known to be at times.)

But after I read ray's post, I remembered something happening at that point last night and loaded it up into VLC here on the computer to verify.  At 45:37, I got the black screen at the same point but then....VLC crashed!  Unable to continue playing with just a basic APPCRASH error message.

Maybe we should hold off on putting this out publicly for a moment until the bugs are verified and worked out?

Anyone have a rough idea when this will be out in USA Eastern time?

I'm monitoring the thread for the Newsletter so....  as soon as I see links, I'll be sending it out.  It's already set up for today. :)

Are you talking about JDownloader links, torrent links, or what? I thought such links were verboten to post publicly? Or, is the newsletter considered private?

The newsletter just tracks what happens every month here in the Harmy threads and sends out an update at the end.  BUT....since v2.5 is about to be released, there will be a supplemental edition sent out today/tomorrow to let everyone on the list know that it's finally be released.  And hopefully, there will be download links for people with and without MySpleen accounts.

It's not really private but I only advertise it in here.  You're welcome to spread the word to your friends who love Star Wars.
