The Leia deepfake looks alot better too, they have it tagged on the end.
I’m really sadden. I know I’m not really a somebody but it’s just I suggested an idea that I spoke to you and to my surprise then, you put it in. Then with this newer update it was not carried over into this newer version. It made me happy that I got to see it come to life and that a suggestion of mine was made into consideration and put in, but I understand it’s your edit. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it and it become my ultimate favorite specialized due to the some SE changes and some original elements 99.5% of what I agree. Also along with an idea of mine in it that made it even more special. I hope I’m not coming across in the wrong way. 😦
I’d defiantly want to check this out. if I could please get a PM? Thanks in advance.
What imo makes Jedi unique is the 2nd act. Taking this stuff at face value and just looking at it from a story and character stance really makes Jedi separate from Empire and SW/ANH. Luke finding out the truth from Yoda about Vader, him finding out Leia is his sister from Obi, him telling Leia about them being related and Vader is their father and her having the ability to use the force. Before I go on I love it after Luke walks off to Vader and Han comes out to see what’s going on and see something is wrong, he gets agitated because Leia won’t tell him. Old Han would’ve walked away but he actually stops and turns to apologize . Leia was told a huge load of stuff and is trying to take it all in. She goes to Han for comfort. Then the talk between Vader and Luke on the landing platform about him accepting the truth of Vader being his father and him trying to turn him and Vader just accepting how far gone down the Darkside he is and Luke saying “He’s Father it truly dead.” You don’t see Vader react to it until he is alone on the walkway. I imagine that really started inside him the turn. He is truly reflecting what he became and what life could’ve been and maybe Luke was right, but we see what happens later when he saves him.
Bobson, I don’t know if you’re a fan pf the Clone Wars but if you’d give it some thought, would you make a ultimate version with your fan edit and the last 4 Episodes with the Clone Wars? It would be a pretty epic extended edition.
Send me a link when you get a chance. Will you be doing Empire next???
I thought of a cool little visual effect that could be added. I didn’t really think about it until watching a video about it. The youtuber mention how interesting it was that Ben Burt added a small impact scratch effect the lightsaber had when it hits the stairs. Could there be a possibility a small spark effect could be added where the tip of the lightsaber hits the step on the stairs???
So I found a video on youtube where in the audience reaction video from 1980. Vader literally says “No Luke, I Am Your Father.” Thoughts??? There’s obvious editing but could it be there were audio versions of that in theaters. Could it be this is how the common “Luke I Am You Father”, comes from??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZCo_hZLyh0
I would like a Google drive link please.
I’m very interested in this.
One weird sense of continuity not followed I’ve noticed at all my viewings, is no fade to black at the end credits just a cut to black. It felt like no one at Lucasfilm didn’t think of that despite it being a way it always been done from the originals, special editions, prequels, 7, 8 and the spin offs. Then again this film had very little thought or care put into it but that’s a different topic. I know it’s a strange nit pic, its the credits. It’s just when your when your use to something ending some way for years and the supposed last episode in the Skywalker saga does a cut to black, it’s like Porky Pig not saying “That’s All Folks.” at the end of Looney Tunes. Now it may have been fixed for home release I won’t know til the 31’st, but I just thought I throw that out there.
Wrong thread, I thought I was on TROS. I apologize and I just realized it and was gonna move it over to that.
Wrong Thread
Obviously you aren’t too busy right now restructuring the whole ST, but if you ever get around to this, I have kk260’s ROTJ V2.6 (I think) if you get around to it. Also, Disney 4k ROTJ Blu Ray might be out by the time you get around to this. Right now kk260 is close but this would be the ideal version for me, subscribed.
Wait kk650 did a v2.6 of ROTJ when did that happen???
There were plans for a supposed 2.5 at one point a couple years ago. Then if I remember correctly when other new sources came along with 4k80 on the horizon, it was decided just to skip 2.5 all together and just go the way to 3.0 which has no eta . Only being told it’ll take a couple years.
I remember at one time you had a Extended Edition with alternate ending if im not mistaken. Is it possible that a V2 with the extended alternate ending will get a release???
Me too,for you it’ll be a long project of films you’ve worked hard on. I’m sure it’ll be bittersweet but yet you’d feel like you accomplished something grand. Maybe a future v2 alternate audio option. I’m with you on can’t wait to view all 9 episodes of your edits. Ever since reading of your edits in a online on a prequel edits fourm, with my memory serving of seeing your name Pop up which made me curious to see your edits. Thank you for the enjoyment.
Hey Hal, I just wanted to say I really enjoyed your custom special edition of ANH and it was almost perfect to me. I say almost because their was one thing I was never fond of. The Stormtrooper’s responses during the “These aren’t the droid’s you’re looking for.” It was the delayed responses of the Stormtrooper’s from the original stereo mixes. I’m curious why you went with that when the original mono and the 97 mixes onward corrected this. It just always sounded off to me like it’s not time in response like a normal conversation. I was hoping maybe you had it the other way in your secondary mix and was disappointed to not find it there either. I respect this is your edit none the less, like I said only curious why you went with that choice?
Looking forward to ANH!!! Ever since KK650 has stepped away and finding out about your semi specialized versions they’ve been my go to. Plus I agree with your changes more. Can’t wait!!!
No problem, I know it’s on of those weird movie things that just happens to be. That’s why I suggested it to be used as a alternate track with other alternate dialogue ideas that have come forward if you thought of going through with it. Just thought it be a cool continuity feature.
Hal Im glad I thought about this before you finished ANH, Being youre gonna go through the whole Wedge thing, Rouge Leader says “Red 6 do you see Red 5 ?” but it’s Wedge who responds “There’s heavy fire on that side, Red 5 Where are you?” Red 6 is Porkins who is already shot down. Adywan some how mocked up Rouge Leader saying Red 2. In the battle after Wedge says "Look at the size of that thing. You can use Red Leader "Cut the Chatter “Red 2” to fix that for your alternate track. Im sure that was the likely thing Ady did to do that fix.
Out of curiosity will this version on ESB have the cropped Falcon shot or the un cropped? I remember you inquiring about that a while back and noticed the cropped shot were used.
I don’t know if it would help. I don’t know how isolating mixes work but if this helps, Ady has Blast it Wedge where are you if you have it. It’s more along where it doesn’t sounds like Luke shouts the line “Blast it Wedge where are you?” in the mono, Its more of the tone “Blast it Biggs (Wedge) where are you?” in his. Just throwing that option out there.
When Anakin get capture you probably could remove the arena shot and go straight into the negotiations with Dooku like it would ve been intended if George kept that sequence in because if my memory serves you use that arena shot twice before the interrogation and like the original before they say I love you?
