Info: Hold onto your old Little Mermaid discs!
Time
Dr. M,

Please consider me a "very" interested party. I checked out your thread over at fanedits.com and really like what it appears you did. Mine ended up leaving something to be desired...

Will this be available at myspleen? Just curious. I'd love to get it if you could tell me how you plan to get it out there.

Thanks so much for taking the time to do this!

Zack

Idea & Help Wanted: for a 'The Bear Who Slept Through Christmas' (1973) edit
Time

Has anyone here ever seen this little gem - The Bear Who Slept Through Christmas? It has been released on VHS but not DVD. The VHS version is cut. I have an old off-air tape (circa 1985) that has a scene where Ted goes into a church in the city and also a seen where his friend sings a quick tune called “Bear Necessities” as he walks to the airport. I would like to try to create a complete cut utilizing the “better” video quality of the commercial VHS release and integrate those 2 additional scenes (obviously of lower quality). Has anyone on this forum seen this before? If so, does anyone have access to decent quality versions of those two scenes that are missing from the commercial VHS release? This was one of my favorites as a kid (still love it) and I really want to create a decent version with all the scenes intact.

Thanks!

Zack

Make your voices heard! (again) - re the 2006 GOUT DVD being in letterbox format
Time
I got through a couple hours ago. Someone answered, I asked for Jim Ward's office and was transferred. I got the voicemail of his assistant (I think that was her title)> I left a polite message expressing my displeasure. The voicemail message said to leave a message and my call would be returned. I am sure that is not the case, but I left my # anyway. I really hope they reverse this decision. Are they really this out of touch?

I really do not care about the 5.1 - the other audio options are fine for me!
Your work looks very impressive, MBJ and I can not wait to see it for myself.
Oh, and the addition of your name at the end looks very nice, but, (and this is my opinion), I would personally rather it be unchanged. I mean, the goal seems to be getting the OT in the best quality possible - and to me, that includes the credits. I know, I know, that might be pretty anal sounding, but it is just my opinion. If you choose to leave your name in though, that would definitely not prevent me from enjoying the film! Thanks for all your work on this! I am dying to see it!

Well, Rik, I am excited about your response to that disc! I am dying to see it. If you make covers for them, it would be great if you could make them available to compliment your covers set (which I got via torrent - THANKS!)

If this new disc will be available via torrent, let me know and I will contribute. Currently seeding Balance of the Force, Cover set and Radio Dramas....

Later guys...off to make sure my back yard doesn't get wrecked by the hurricane!!

Cool. I have several sets (1 that I think is excellent) but you have me intrigued. Can you tell me - are yours dual-layered DVD's?
