Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

I haven't been able to visit OT.com much in recent years, but I just found this fan edit and had to login to say:

THANK YOU TO ALL INVOLVED.

Seriously, this is absolutely amazing. The time, love and dedication you've invested to create this is impressive beyond words. I watched this last night and it took my breath away.

I just want to say you have my deepest gratitude.

Warmest Regards,

Zack

Info Wanted: what is the best anamorphic preservation of the Original Trilogy?
Time

Hey everyone,

I was out of town unexpectedly but was able to grab the suggested versions. Took them on the trip and they were great.

I'm going to watch Star Wars with our son next week (he's six and has never seen it). Cannot wait.

And yes, the screen is 121"...inches, not feet! :)

Thanks again for the wonderful suggestions. You're all terrific.

Best Regards,
Zack

Info Wanted: what is the best anamorphic preservation of the Original Trilogy?
Time

Hi Everyone,

I used to frequent this forum several years ago, but not much lately… Life’s been crazy. Anyways, my wife and I just installed a home theater in our bonus room upstairs with a 121’ screen, etc. We love it.

Anyways, the 2006 DVD’s of the original trilogy are obviously non-anamorphic.

Can someone recommend to me the best anamorphic preservations of the three original films? I assume there are some great ones sourced from the 2006 DVD’s now, but I’d love to get some opinions on which are the best to seek out.

Thanks so much for any advice. I’ve been backreading the forum the last hour or so and I miss this place! Great people here. 😃

Thanks again! 😄

Zack

Info Wanted: 'Honey, I Shrunk The Kids' - anyone done a w/s preservation?
Time

Hi All,

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I loved it as a kid. There is no widescreen DVD available though. While flipping through the channels the other day though, I stumbled upon it playing on Showtime HD in widescreen. I don’t have the means to capture it, but I was wondering if there was anyone here that had Showtime HD that would be willing / able to capture it in HD and convert it to DVD? I don’t care if there are no menus or anything. Just a straight conversion would be awesome. The ones I have gotten recently (Twilight Zone: The Movie and Howard the Duck) have looked EXCELLENT.

I would LOVE to have a widescreen version of this film… Am I the only one?? I don’t have much for sure, but would even be willing to pay someone what I could for their time/effort to do this.

It airs again on the 17th on Showtime HD. If anyone’s interested, it would be great.

Thanks for reading,

Zack
