Yeah, you are right, Millenium isn't actually a spin-off in the true sense, but it was created by Chris Carter and set in the same universe as the x-files. Henriksen's Frank Black character and the millenium group appeared in a crossover episode of the x-files (and in England we didn't get the show until after we had met Frank Black in the x-files)
I also disagree with what they said about Diagnosis Murder. That show is right up there with Quincey. Pure Classics.
I'm reading Star Wars: Vision of the Future. It's not bad as far as EU goes I guess.

You bounce ideas off eachother, pick holes in the others ideas, and decide what works and what doesn't. One person would usually do the bulk of the actual writing, although the other can tweak it. That's how me and my co-writing buddy do it anyway.
