They will need to do some serious thinking about the meterials they use for the screen (scratch and smudge proof) before that design can become a reality. Or they could just release it with an easily scrathed and smudged screen and then release an ipod 7 a few months later in typical apple fashion.

I have a Video Ipod, and IT does not come with a charger. It only charges off the USB. Pretty f**king lame. Especially as the battery life is crap when you are watching videos. I hardly ever watch videos on it.

This is not a real picture, but it is rumored the 6th gen ipod will be something like this:

In theory, very bitchin'. In the hands of George Lucas and his cronies, it would probably be very un-bitchin'.

Ok, we all agree that the PT was lacking (understatement) but that doesn't mean Lucas couldn't pull it off. Lucas could've did the PT better but for some reason he made it the way he wanted to make it at the time. I know we all love star wars and we feel like it belongs to us in some way but in reality it is GL's story and movies and he has the right to do with them as he pleases.

Look at it from a musicians point of view. A musician can write a song that he/she love and it plays true to their heart but it could get terrible reviews and have alot of people say it sucks. Does that change how the musician feels about the song? Nope. So what's my point? I don't know, my train of thought just de-railed. I hate when that happens.

It's not just that the PT was lacking, it's just that the whole Star Wars franchise has changed into something quite lame - You just need to look at the whole franchise to see that it is not the same entity that it once was. Hell, just check out Starwars.com, take a look at databank. Take a look at the toys that are being made, take a look at the whole sorry affair and you will see why I don't think a Star Wars TV show, even one with such a cool concept as the one mentioned (Jedi students led by Skywalker) would be all that great. It would be a whole load of flashy fight scenes, midichlorians, cool shiny spaceships and convoluted continuity, which, whatever anyone says, is NOT what Star Wras WAS about. Star Wars was a fairy tale, telling of mystical powers and noble warriors. Now it is just another Sci-Fi show, with endless spin-offs and tie-ins and 'cool' aliens and effects. I don't want to get into the whole 'They are George's Movies' debate, but Star Wars was one thing, and now it is something else, and I believe many will agree with me that the something else is not as good. A TV show would be made now, with the current George Lucas, and therefore I don't think it would be all that great.

Anyway, I really didn't want to get into that, but I can see that you are fairly new here so I just wanted to explain my POV.

C3PO: Wake up! Wake up!

We're doomed.

Do you think they'll melt us down?

Don't shoot! Don't shoot!

Will this never end?

I've just realised that Anthony Daniels is pretty much carrying this whole film for the first 20 minutes.

Hey Hotrod, you know how you said the dialogue is ingrained because you've heard it so many time? Well as I run through it in my head I can even hear the music change. How about you?

Jaster, I think you are mistaken. I too thought that Snakes On A Plane was intentionally bad, but now I don't think so. I think it's just bad, but people online have seen how bad it is, and turned it on it's head in a 'so bad it's good' way. But I don't believe it was the original intention. I think Samuel L is very lucky that people online are treating his steaming turd of a movie the way they are, because now he will have a hit instead of a turkey.

Samuel L Jackson said in an interview that the only reason he took the job was because of the name. They were planning on changing the name, but Jackson wouldn't let them. I think it's obvious he knows what he's doing. Seriously, they even implemented the "motherfucking snakes on a motherfucking plane" line into the movie. How can the writers not be in on the joke? Did you watch the trailer? It had a clip of Jackson using a snake as a WHIP. If you honestly think that Samuel and the writers and the director don't know what they're doing, then you're seriously underestimating them.

Besides, even if the entire crew IS taking this film seriously, the audience still isn't going too. Even in the slim chance that they actually think they're making an AMAZING, THOUGHT PROVOKING MOVIE, that still doesn't change the fact that it's so terrible it's bad. In fact, it'd probably only make it funnier, seeing Jackson do interviews talking about how he thinks the movie has reached out and made a huge impact on several people.

I read that interview too, and I must say Samuel L is a clever guy. He signed up for a shitty movie because he seems to has no standards whatsoever. He didn't care if it was good or bad or what the title was. But then people online started questioning this shit title, and then started saying 'this is so bad it's good' and jackson basically jumped on board and went along with it, and now it looks like that was the plan all along, but it so wasn't.

Do you think Arnold Swcarzenegger made all those bad bad movies in the 80s and early 90s with his tongue in his cheek? No, they were just bad movies, but now they ahv a cult 'so bad it's good' following. Same with Hasselhoff, Chuck Norris, and all those kind of guys.

Samuel L has taken a situation and turned it around to work in his favour. Good on him. But Ric is right - hollywood will try and repeat the success by forcing cult status onto movies before they are even released.
