Howdy all,

First I want to thank Jay for sending out that e-mail. I know he doesn’t like doing things like that because it’s a bit spammy and not in the OT.com spirit, but I am sure he agrees that in these circumstances nobody will mind.

So, it seems that Jay’s e-mail has opened the floodgates, and we’ve received donations from the following users (Including some extremely generous donations. You know who you are – thanks very much).

Yeah, do that. Reading Dayv's post about never being to the West Coast didn't surprise me - it seems that I have seen more of America than most Americans. I've been all over both coasts and lots of the middle too. I've been to about 30 different States. Never been to Texas though Dayv.

Last time I was in Seattle I drove to Vancouver and loved it. The people are very friendly.

Everything everyone has already said, with one big difference: At the end of the third prequel, we believe that Anakin is dead, killed by Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan knows otherwise, so his P.O.V would have to remain undisclosed, but we, the audience, believe that Anakin is dead. This keeps the surprise of ESB, and even we do not know if Vader is lying to Luke until Yoda and Ben confirm it. Also, Ben should be called Ben more than he is called Obi-Wan. Could even be that Obi-Wan is a name he doesn't really like using, sort of like Indiana Jones is really called 'Junior'.

Also, I think Padme should not die on screen. She survives the prequels and goes to Alderaan with Bail, but has died by the time of the OT. This solves so many problems, including Leia's 'she died when I was very young' quote.

I wasn't really a fan of this whole Vong thing, but I think I might like to get into some of the new Star Wars EU, seeing as it is now trying to tie the old stories and characters like Palpatine into the bigger picture.

I'm having trouble doing this too. Coverting files to MPEG4 for ipod isn't a problem, but how do I rip films from DVD to Avi or some other decent file type without keeping the cahpter markers and stuff? I just want a film in it's entirity as an avi which I can then convert to ipod mpeg4. Any help?

Something I really hate: I won't be around here as much as I usually am. I'm in the final stages of my big move to America so I won't be online so much for a while. But I'll be back in full force as soon as circumstances settle back down, so don't forget about me!.
