Seeing the trailer - up until now all I have seen is stills, and they didn't do it for me, but the trailer makes it look like a good, exciting, fun movie. And the effects weren't nearly as bad as some people here have made out - the bit with the airplane looked pretty damn cool to me. Also, Routh seems to have Clark Kent down pretty good - the voice is very Christopher Reeves.

I can understand everyone's concerns, but personally I am very happy about the OT release. It would be nice if this was an OT only release rather than a bonus material deal, but all in all I think we got want we wanted. One thing though - I really hope we get decent OT artwork covers this time round.

Great cartoon BTW.

I'm in Jamestown. I've heard of Minot but I'm not quite sure where it is in relation to me (this calls for a map...). I'm hoping to hook up with a friend in Winipeg at some point in the next month or so though.

Thanks for the support Dayv, and it's true I am absolutely shattered and stressed.

On top of all the standard moving stress, I have just had a huge falling out with my insane depressed miserable parents the day before I leave and am staying at a friend's place, which totally sucks (falling ou with the olds, not hanging with my friend). I swear those guys should go to councilling, and I think I probably should too.

Holy shit is this for real?

Wow, you have no idea what this means to us.

It will change our daily living in hundreds of little ways, and most importantly
will remove a massive level of stress from all of us and let us focus on trying
to beat this, rather than worrying if we are going to be tossed out of our flat
and have to live in the hospital dorms. It means my little girl can have a
proper birthday next month. It means our lives will be just that bit better
*every day*

Most importantly though, it is a massive psychological boost for all of us. Just
the thought that there are hundreds of people out there, that we have never met
are all thinking of us and willing to help for no reason other than that they
are good people and they care is just amazing.
This can be an extremely lonely and soul destroying thing to go through, but the
thought that there are a huge bunch of OT'ers with us on this, well, it just
blows our minds.
I really am at a loss for what to say, there are tears streaming down my face,
so I'll just say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU ALL!

I've heard nothing lately except news reports and articles about how selfish and
insular the world has become - I refuse to believe it, and you all just proved
it is bullshit.

On top of this good news Lucas has finally been bent by us all and we have
WON?!?!

That seriously makes all the work put into the project worth it.

I'd better stop typing before this turns into a Gwyneth Paltrow Oscars moment,
but seriously from me and my family, a huge heartfelt thanks, and if I make it
through this, rest assured I will be putting back into the Star Wars community
BIG TIME!
