What are you going to do with your SE discs?

How about donating them to a library or a school or somewhere where some kids who can't afford a 4 Disc DVD set can get them or watch them for free? After school programs, Boys and Girls Clubs, children's hospitals.... salvation army, goodwill stores.... the list goes on and on. Maybe you know someone with a kid who hasn't seen the movies...

or you can mail them back to LFL... that little chuckle you get when you mail the box will really be worth it in the long run. It is kinda a waste to give them back to George when you could give them to charity. Maybe I will take a photo of myself giving the discs to a charity store and send that to George. Doesn't have quite the same inpact though, plus I don't really want to inflict that SE shit on some poor kid.

I'd rather buy a second set, donate the OT discs from that set and send back two sets of the SSE.
Problem solved.

As for this plan backfiring, I don't think that will happen if we word the letter right. I'm gonna say something along the lines of 'I am returning thsi to help you obtain accurate data as to which versions the fans want, I hope this is useful to you. Thank you for giving me the original movies' etc. It will be polite but it will get the point across.

Congress may clamp down on MySpace
Time
Your mention of deaf internet users reminded me of something a deaf friend of mine once told me. He said that technology, expecially text messaging and MSN messenger, have changed his life dramatically for the better.

However, I can totally see your point. It's a tough one. But you only talk about the burden on library staff and other library users (reduced bandwith, etc). What are you opinions on the actual reason for the proposed clamp down - danger to children from paedophiles, etc? Will this help? Is there another, less drastic, way to protect them?

I guess if you are heading of to college and leaving the nest, then yeah, it is quiute a big deal. But that is more about what you are doing after school than the fact that you finished school, if you get waht I mean. So already you are moving on and putting it behind you, and celebrating that fact.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed high school and was sad when it ended. But I am still close with the good friends I made (you will find that you will lose touch with 90% of your 'friends' but the true ones will stick no matter where you go or what you do after school).

Yeah it is I guess, but since school I've been to college, art college and university, and got married. High school isn't all that big a deal looking back. Good times though. Like Sybe said, I guess different countries have different emphasis. This is my first time in the states during graduation time, and there's a whole lot more 'hoopla' than I've ever seen in England.

Yoda: Ready, are you? What know you of ready? For eight hundred years have I trained Jedi. My own counsel will I keep on who is to be
trained! A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind. This one a long time have I watched. Never his mind on where he was. What he was doing. Adventure. Heh! Excitement. Heh! A Jedi craves not these things. You are reckless!
