I'm thinking of adding a P.S to my letter - Remember limited edition 'Executor' boxset (which I own, BTW) you released in 1995? That was a quality release that treated the movies with the respect they deserve. I know Lucasfilm is capable.

What I'd really like to say is - Please go out and buy a copy of the extended editions of LOTR and see how it should be done.

Still great paintings though, and if you stick them together it makes one big trilogy poster, so the mixing and matching can be forgiven.

I'm in. One last push, then I'm calling it quits. If Lucas doesn't deliver come Sept 12th, he can piss off and continue 'tweaking' his bastard special editionms ad infinitum while I watch my bootleg discs and vow never to purchase another Lucasfilm product, including cinema tickets, for as long as I live. And that includes Indy 4.

EDIT: I have just been informed by the missus that it's actually called the Bison Theater. My Bad.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking - a slightly better National Treasure starring Tom Hanks.

If only this book had been written 15 years ago - Harrison Ford would have been perfect. Or maybe George Clooney. I can even see Hugh Jackman in the role. But Tom Hanks? I love him, but he's not Robert Langdon.

Has anyone here read Angels and Demons? I read it before Da Vinci and preferred it.

Ric, you're pretty much right about the book, but that doesn't stop it from being an enjoyable read, and a good way to pass the time on the London Underground on your way to work.

I'm quite disappointed the movie is getting mediocre reviews. I was looking forward to it, and it's rare for Ron Howard to disappoint.

Undecided. I've paid for official VHS releases of the OT about 4 times. I have my laserdisc rips, and by all accounts these won't be much better - Do I really need them? By the looks of it Lucasfilm has really dropped the ball in the shoddiness stakes on this one.

Last week I was definitely buying. Now I'm waiting to see.
