Star Wars before 1977

On a related note, while I was browsing through the list/screenshots of changes made between the 1977 and 2004 versions of A Star Wars / A New Hope on the official site I noticed that in 1977 Vader was listed in the credits as 'Lord Darth Vader' but in 2004 he was just 'Darth Vader' which to me suggests that 'Darth' was originally not a title but rather Vader's first name. I could be wrong but that's how I interpret the change. It's also interesting to note that the caption beneath the screen comparison does not mention the fact that Vader is listed differntly in 2004 than he was in 2004 (instead it just says that James Earl Jones was not credited in '77 but got what he deserved in 2004), probably because is my theory is correct it would prove George Lucas' claim that he had it all planned from the start and it's Anakin/Vader's story is a lie.

Where did the huge influx of retards come from?

JediRandy can be a clown bordering on troll sometimes, but he also has some good comments to contribute. If everyone stopped jumping on every comment he makes just because it was him who made it I think he would eventually evolve into less of an annoying smartass and more of a 'opposing viewpoint' member, and I personally think we need some opposing view members at times. JediRandy serves the necessary purpose of reminding us all that we are being whiny geeks. I agree that the manner in which he serves this purpose could do with some work, but we don't need to ban anyone who disagrees with us.

2006 OT DVD: Poll: So What are You Going to Do?

Same here. So I guess that makes me a weak person who goes back on his word, but whatever.

Yes, so if you look at how shitty the menus are represented here and imagine how good they will look on the actual release, you can take that improvement factor and apply it to the other screenshots and get a pretty good idea of what the movies will look like: Not fabulous, but not terrible either.

But what I'm saying is the lego screen doesn't look too sharp either, and I assume that will be perfect on the DVD. If you want to get technical and have a go at Randy about DPI or whatever that's up to you, but his basic point remains - these are merely screenshots and poor ones at that. The DVD will look better than these screenshots. I'm not saying it's going to look great, but it will look better.

For example, take a look at the ESB menu. Do you really think this blurry image is a good representation of what the actual DVD menu will look like on screen?
