Okay, Okay, I guess a reluctant kiss is better than none at all

*kisses kev back, and means it*

Okay, I guess that means we're cool, no more fighting, which will please not only you and I, but everyone else.

Just stop being a dick, yeah?

P.S that last line was a JOKE but my emoticons don't work.

Thanks, MeBe, now everyone can feel dirty. She is 15.

Everyone except Kev.
Anyway, only 1 year till she's legal...

1 year? More like 3.

Actually, the legal age of consent here in England is 16, which is why I said 1 year. Although I'm pretty sure Kev will still be a virgin at 30.

Yeah, Alec is my second choice. Kev, By the way, I'm only messing with you in all the other threads. The off topic section is like a playground and I'm just playing, but over here in the Star Wars discussion, let's talk. So, why Ian McD? What is it about him? I can't say I've seen many interviews etc to get a clear picture of what he is like as a person.

There seems to be a lot of 'what's your favourite...' threads right now so hey, why not one more? There's f**k all else going on in the General Star Wars Forum anyway. So, of all the actors in the Star Wars movies, who's your favourite? I don't just mean talent wise, I mean as a person. Who do you respect or admire the most? Who would you most like as a buddy? etc.
After watching loads of star wars related documentaries and reading loads of books, I would have to say Mark Hamill. He seems to be the most level headed and well adjusted of them all, and he seems to me to have a lot of integrity in regard to his art. Plus, despite what people think, He is a very good actor.

Another Fan-Fic (My sincerest apologies to starkiller) - SW crossover
Time
Yeah, I spotted that too. God is an earthly concept that is never mentioned in the Star Wars universe.
Plus, in the words of Yoda, war does not make one great. But the president in your story is basically praying for a war so he can reap the glory - sounds like he would be better up joining forces with the Empire than the rebels.
Lando gives in a bit easily doesn't he? There's nothing to suggest the hyperspace mistake was his fault, and he definitely hasn'r 'betrayed' the alliance. Let them down maybe, but not betrayed. By the time of the attack on the death star II Lando has matured and developed. I think Lando would be the only one keeping a cool head and trying to think of a way out of this mess. He's been in tight spots before, this is just one more.
Sorry for the criticism, but I hope it is at least constructive criticism. As for the bits I didn't criticize - Good job.

I'm not even going to try getting into the whole gun debate on this thread, but maybe guys on horses and Chalt's Dad should be a bit less trigger happy.

Several people in the last few years have been killed hitting horses with impaired riders, and that guy on the horse was drunk, or high, maybe, and riding in the middle of a street after the sun went down. I swear I didn't see him until we were two feet in front of him. My dad only drew his gun incase the horse guy flipped out and tried to attack him. Then, the INTOXICATED person on the horse pulled a 357 from his saddle (which is illiegal anyway, since he was drunk). My dad talked to the police about it and they said he had every right to drop him where he stood.

Several people in the last few years have been killed hitting horses with drunk riders, and my dad had his fiance, his two kids, and one of hers in the car with him. Sure, he could have been more civil, but I can't fault him for being angry, and I swear in the same situation I probbly would have shot the guy as soon as he drew a gun from his saddle. I honestly thought he would just flip out and shoot my dad.

I'm not denying that riding a horse in the middle of the street is dumb, especially when drunk or drugged. I'm alos not denying that the guy riding the horse was a dick for even thinking of pulling a gun on your dad or anyone else. It's just a shame that guns even come into it.
Just mu opinion though, and I have heard all the arguments for and against guns, and I can see where everyone is coming from, I just don't dig guns. Let's leave it at that.

I can't watch it because the internet filter at work is filtering this as 'tasteless'...
Anyway, speaking of scary, I think a ghost tried to get me last night. I picked up a book of matches. A brand new, never before used book of matches, and the whole thing went up in flames before I even opened it, of it's own accord.

The basic idea of this thread is to share some of the colloquialisms that you may have either made-up over the years, one that has resulted of a joke long forgotten, or just some odd local terms.

For instance, what you may call a television remote, or a remote control my family and I have always called a "commander."

We call it 'the box'. Like, hey, where's the box? Pass me the box so I can change the channel.
If you are an arsehole I will call you a chief. Don't know why, but it was something that people said at high school and it still slips out of my mouth from time to time.
For example, 'Jedikev is such a chief'
