I'm a geeza!!!

Same here.

I'm 28 Years old, I live in London, I work as a freelance advertising creative (which basically involves me and my best mate sitting around coming up with stupid ideas to trick people into buying crap) and I like music (listening to it and making it).

Follow me on Twitter - I'm getting lonely (username: mattfitch81)

Where did they come up with the title: "The Phantom Menace"?

I think it is a cool title and probably the most clever thing Lucas thought of in the prequels. I remember when I heard it back in '98 when I was 10, I was like wow, The Phantom Menace, that sounds cool. At the time, I didn't even know what "menace" meant.

Really?  When I first heard it (I was 18 or so) I thought it was sooooo cheesy.  Then the next one was called Attack of the Clones amd I just thought 'oh, fuck this'.

Sorry for double-post but just read the article...

"About 390,000 people listed their religion as Jedi in the 2001 Census for England and Wales. In Scotland the figure was a reported 14,000.

The Office for National Statistics did not recognise it as a separate category, and incorporated followers of Jedi with atheists."

I was one of the 390,000 but didn't know they lumped us in with Athiests.  That's bullsh1t man!  I mean, obviously I don't believe in the force in a true sense (I'm not insane), but I'm not an athiest, I do believe in something... just can't quite define it, and as the force is basically a mix of loads of different eastern philosophies it seemed like a pretty good alternative.  Damn those government statisticians!

Hypothetical
Time

There was a time when I would have been up for a SE with reasonable 'fixes' (garbage mattes, etc) but now I don't really care - anamorphic digitally restored theatrical versions of the OT are the only disc I would buy.  That's not because I 'hate' Lucas or anything like that, it's just because over the years I have become tired and weary and don't care anymore.  As Anchorhead said, the original movies (or, in his case, movie, singular) are all I want, warts and all, because the warts are all part of it - it's a film that was made in 1977.

Return of the Jedi: the worst OT film?

You know they added ropes around Han's feet in '97? *rolls eyes* It was a pretty silly situation in '83 but I guess they didn't have this 'rope' technology back then.

LOL!

While I concede that ROTJ is largely dissapointing and weak compared to the first two films, I have to say that Yoda's death scene is bloody amazing.  An oscar worthy performance... from a muppet.

Watchmen Film

Hopefully the real movie uses new music and not music from batman and robin like the trailer.

Whoever made up that trailer should be fired as memories of batman and robin need not be associated with Watchmen.

I am hoping the movie is not another excuse to badmouth bush and the war on terror.

Those elements In V for Vendetta and Dark Knight took me out of the movie.

I go to the movies to be entertained and forget about the real world for 2 hours of fantastic entertainment.

Hollywood needs to be reminded i could just stay home and watch Fox News or cnn instead.

My 12.50 need not pay for a directors personal politics and using a movie to flip the bird at GW Bush is kinda a waste of time.

Well considering the book is set during the cold war and focuses heavily on nuclear weapons and power struggles between governments...
