In university I lived with a guy who totally loved the Special Editions more than the originals and thought AOTC was great, but nothing specific. To be honest it was nice living with someone who loved Star Wars, even if it was the SEs.

Yeah, Zach is pretty slick on the drums - definitely a plus having him in the band. As is his Father in my opinion, although apparently he was 'not even the best drummer in the Beatles'.

I used to prefer that version as well and dislike the original, but now it's grown on me a lot, and I like both versions.

Thing is Ringo just can't sing, so they had to lower the key and make it into a 'Ringo's shit voice' friendly tune. Still, I do like Ringo. He's definitely the coolest living Beatle. His son Zach is now drummer in Oasis, which is pretty cool if you ask me.

That way they could choose the best actor. Even the producers wouldn't know who the new bond was until the final cut. Or they could take the best perfomance, regardless of which actor delivered it and have 10 different actors playing Bond in the same movie, or they could get the audience to vote by text message and the winner get s a 5 movie deal. The possibilities are limitless.

I went to see Howl's Moving Castle last night. Has anybody else seen it? Any comments?

On a completely unrelated note (but hey, it's the Long Bridge Club so it's cool), I just finished eating a yoghurt that I grabbed from the back of the fridgebefore I left for work today. It tasted a bit wierd so once I was done I searched the bin for the foil lid and read the best before date - 19th September. That's gonna hurt later.

What is Degrassi?

I'm not too sure about Clerks 2. It's one of those right time right place cult following movies and I'm not sure if a polished, non b&w sequel will be anything but a pale imitation. We'll see though, and I like Kevin Smith so I'll definitely give it a chance.

On the subject of Bond muisc, apart from the classic Bond theme, I take guilty pleasure from View to a kill the Duran Duran, and I also quite like A-Ha's 'the living daylights'. I thought Die another day was the worst Bond song ever, but it worked surprisingly well in context (I actually worked for the effects company that created that intro sequence and while they were working on it I thought it was horrible, but when it all came together at the end with the music and the pre-credit sequence of Bond's capture, it worked pretty well, IMO. Live and Let Die is another favourite of mine, but as a standalone song, and not neccesarily a Bond song.

Dexter Jettster and Elan Sleazebaggano clearly suck. Jango Fett is lame as is commander cody. I never actually considered 'Fett' to be Boba Fett's surname, I never really considered it at all. I just thought 'Boba Fett, bounty hunter, cool, the end'. But now Fett is his surname, and Boba is a pretty crappy first name.

So, Han (Me) on Guitar, 3PO (Ric) on Keyboard/Synth and Greedo (Chaltab) on Ocarina. This is shaping up to be one hell of a band. Vader or R2 are clear contenders for lead vocals IMO.
