Yeah, that's a good point. Will you be forwarding on our messages, YIYF?

Yes, for those of you who sent messages, I will cut and paste all your comments into a word doc and send it to Rikter (for those of you who didn't, I will be sure to let him know that the message list is by no means a list of donators). I will also direct him to this thread.

To all those who have PMed me, I'm afraid I cannot reply to PMs from work, but I try to answer all questions in this thread.

Thanks again to all who have donated so far, it makes me proud to be part of OT.com

Also, I would add YIYF long bridge thread... Which is off topic of off topic...

I second that - if a thread goes off topic, and you want to keep discussing whatever subject the thread has mutated into - take it to the long bridge club. It's also a thread where you can post whatever you want that doesn't fall into any other category and doesn't necesarily warrant it's own thread.

$475!!

This is just great, and much more than we imagined raising. Plus, most importantly, Greencapt will now be keeping the mouse in the house.

As if things weren't bad enough, I hear there's a Back to the Future Part 4 in the works. God damn you, Hollywood!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: if BTTF4 Happens I will kill myself in protest. Hopefully hollywood will stop making crap movies as a result, and I will go down in history as a martyr - everybody's happy (except hollywood, who will be forced to come up with something original).

I disagree. Between 28 and 32 is the best age.

I concur. Enjoy your life a little.

By that you are implying that your life can no longer be enjoyed once you have a kid. While from your mother's point of view that may well be true, I'm sure some members here will tell you otherwise.

Lucas reveals the truth behind the prequel plotholes!

There's one major inconsistency: the fact that when Marty travels into the future, his older self is there. That's impossible! If someone goes in a time machine and travels ahead 30 years, then that means that they would be "missing" for those 30 years. THere can't be 2 Marty's. Flight of the Navigator got that right. The kid's in a time machine for a few minutes and is returned 8 years in the future. He hasn't aged but to the rest of his family he was gone 8 years. Duh.....
But we know that Marty eventually returned to 1985 and continued his life from that point on, so he would have aged and grown into the middle aged Marty we see in Part 2..... Ah, it's only a movie.

Anyway, with regards to this post:

There's also the "parallel universe" theory expressed in Michael Crichton's "Timeline", where "time travel" is really traveling to one of an infinite amount of parallel universes that each consist of a particular point in time.

Anyone ever heard of John Titor? I was totally hooked on this story for months. Probably a hoax, but fascinating all the same. Check it out:

But, Spielberg and Lucas have said that "the film will fit his age," or something along the lines of that. So, I would suspect he will do some action, but not nearly the amount as seen in the previous three films.
which says to me, lots of 'I'm too old for this shit' gags. Yawn. And if Lucas is writing, it will probably be indy versus some trade federation who have illegally blocked some trade routes, and Indy will go through the movie burping and farting beacuse of the heart pills his doctor has given him. Rubbish.

Hello all. The total is currently $205, so you can all give yourselves a pat on the back (although we still need another $45 to save us from Greencapt's home video). I can extend the deadline until midnight on friday, the 23rd, but after that there is no way I will be able to get near a computer to send Rikter the payment, so that will have to be the total dead dead deadline. Oh, and I live in England, so I am talking UK time. For those of you who don't know the time difference, please see below. I seriously won't be near a computer after the 23rd so please don't waste a moment in getting those donations to me.

DEADLINES:

East Coast: 7pm, Friday December 23rd
Midwest: 6pm, Friday December 23rd
Mountain: 5pm, Friday December 23rd
West Coast: 4pm, Friday December 23rd.
The rest of the world: You do the math.

Once again, the paypal account to donate to is: mattfitch at hotmail dotcom
PLUS if you need MORE inspiration, check out the details on Rikter's young Jedi and her situation here:

P.S Thanks to Arnie.d, fabwill, Darth Simon and Shark2k - your donations have been received.

McCallum comments on the TV series and the prequel special editions
Time
Quote from the article:

"At first, McCallum said, he thought that the thought of love turning Anakin to the Dark Side would be a difficult concept for the hard-core "Star Wars" fan base to accept. "I'm amazed nobody's had a problem with that whatsoever," McCallum observed. "They can all identify with that. It's like your mother having cancer or your sister being hit by a car -- there are so many things subliminally in people's lives that make them relate to him, but it was a very tough concept on paper to get through."

I have a problem with it

Another quote from the article:

"We thought about it," McCallum said. "One of our assistant editors did the dialogue that George wrote for him. It was one line. It was never during shooting, but in post-production. He did a little Liam sound-alike but it just didn't work, (the scene) was more powerful without it. There was so much buzz about it on the Internet that Liam actually called me to find out if there was any truth to it. I said, 'No, we're going to do it without you this time.' You could feel that there was a presence of him there."

Un-fucking-believable. If this is true, McCallum needs shooting.
