I know Han said Jabba put a price on his head, and why not collect a double bounty, from the Empire and then from Jabba? Tatooine is the logical place to start looking, and it was their rendezvous point, after all. It seems they knew he would be taken there; I just don't remember if Vader or Boba ever mentioned Jabba...

Vader says "You  may take Captain Solo to Jabba the Hutt after I have Skywalker" to Boba.

When did Star Wars stop being fun? (aka, the Anti-Correct Viewing Order thread)
Time

Well, I am admittedly much younger than most people on this site, but Star Wars has been and is really fun for me.  Maybe because I never got into anything other than the movies.  I've never read any novels, comic books, etc.  Just books that go along with the movies, like the Annotated Scripts and novelizations.

TPM came out when I was in 6th grade, and I loved it at first.  Now, I just watch the OT.  I can't even remember the last time I saw any of the PT.

So my suggestion is to take it back down to basics.  Forget anything else and just go back to the movies.  They are fun all on their own without needing to expand on any of them.  Just sit back and enjoy the movies!  :D

Kindle/Nook Thoughts?
Time

I'm almost against digital readers for one simple reason: technology evolves.  I love to read.  On average, I read about one novel every 2 weeks.  So I would definitely benefit from a digital reader.  But 10 or 15 years down the line, all those books that you bought for the kindle will be obsolete, because either the battery will start to slowly die (and they won't make the same ones by then), or a totally different technology will come along to replace it.

Same with DVDs.  People spent hundreds of dollars on DVDs and now they are all being replaced by blu-ray.  In a few years, no one will be releasing DVDs anymore, just as VHSs are no longer around.  And I don't like the idea of paying (often full price!) for ebooks when I won't be able to make use of them forever.  At least with physical books, you can get them on sale or much cheaper from a private seller or the internet.  There isn't much competition with ebooks because there are so few platforms.

Have you guys ever read "Star Wars: The Annotated Screenplays"?  It's an awesome read, and that's where a lot of my dialogue misconceptions got corrected.

The biggest one I had actually came from ANH.  For years and years I thought Obi-Wan said "They're not for sale if you want them" rather than "They're up for sale if you want them."  Totally changes the meaning.

You have a good point, but 3PO does say "Excuse me, Han, but where are we going?" in the asteroid field. Maybe Kersh said "You don't have to be so proper all of the time". We'll never know. I don't really have a problem with it, but it could stand discussion.

Actually, I think he says "Excuse me, ma'am, but where are we going?" That's why Leia shrugs.

Has it been considered changing Luke's pronunciation of Tatooine at the end?  I'm sure Hamill has said it right at some point after countless interviews through the years.

Someone already asked that a couple hundred pages back.  I stumbled upon it earlier this morning.

Adywan decided that, just like Han and Leia's names have multiple pronunciations, the planet name may be pronounced differently as well.  He said he is leaving it how it is.

And considering that Luke is a native, his pronunciation may actually be correct.

Even if the starfields were similar, that could easily be explained as stars which are too distant to change position in the sky.

The one background which had always royally pissed me off, even as a kid, is the final scene of ESB when Luke and Leia are looking at the distant galaxy.  That galaxy is huge in the sky, but even so, it would still be at LEAST a few MILLION light years away.  Which means that it should have been visible in every single starfield in the entire Star Wars saga.  There would not be a single place in the galaxy that you could go without seeing it in the sky.  Just like, even if Earth got moved to the other end of the Milky Way, much of the night sky would actually remain the same because of the light coming from stars in galaxies outside of our own.

The lasers never bothered me as much as Veers telling Vader that he reached the power generators so early in the battle.  He says "I've reached the power generators" over 5 minutes before he actually does.  You'd think he would have more reservations about such optimism considering what happened to Ozzle.
