The Things We Hate And Love Thread .
Time
I hate the fact my football team sucks

I also hate the fact that my old highschool's football team got killed 50-0 this week.

I hate rude people.

I hate it when good threads are ruined

I hate the my hometown's council memebers are fighting with each other and suing each other instead of running the town goverment.

I hate the fact that I have splinter in my hand that I can't get out.

If I were to walk into a bar and someone dragged me into a celebration, sure I'd bounce around a bit. But I'm not actively seeking out a celebration. In fact, everywhere I've been is surprisingly sedate. I thought there would be a bit more excitement, but it's a bit dead. Then again, I don't live right in the city.

I surprised, I thought your town would have been going nuts. Perhaps you were on the wrong side of Chicago. I keep forgetting which side cheers for the Cubs and which side cheers for the White Sox?

RIP Rosa Parks.

*sigh* ok, didn't want to get in this but I will. I tried to end the thread for fear that Jaster Mareel's comments might start a flame war as can happen when talking about sensitive issues like race. I did not want a thread that I created to honor her lost, to turn into that. Now, I understand maybe her accomplishments may not be as great as MLK, but Jaster Mareel, how dare you say that she is not a prime example of a fine human? She stood up for her rights I wonder how many people would have had the guts to do what she did? For all she knew, she could have gotten lyched for what she did. Her actions jump started the civil rights moment. She most definitely is a fine example of a human being. As for why I said a hero to her people, I don't know. When I created this thread, it was late at night and I was tired. I wasn't being too careful with the wording I chose. Honestly I can't say why I chose the wording I chose. Maybe it was because I didn't want someone complaining saying "She not a hero to my people" and again have a flame war erupt. But, I do believe that she is hero to all people. I did not intend this thread to be a place for people to criticize Rosa Parks. I created it so people could have a place to pay tribute to her. Again I did not chose my words carefully enough. But I honestly did not think anyone would be criticizing her. Now Jaster, of course you are entitled to your negative opinion of Rosa Parks. I just wish you would have created another thread and done it there. I have done an edit of my first post to make it more clear of what I intended this thread to be. I will not try to "dead thread" this thread again, but I will not post in this thread again either.

Also, I wanted to see "Good night, and Good Luck", but this movie was shown here at ONE theater, only ONE night only! Sad to see how good movies are treated like that, and crappy flicks such as Doom get 500 screens...

I have just seen this film, I highly recomend it.

we have that I my work place, but we don't have the guessiing part. And we have a rule that says the gift can't cost more that $20.

This is probably a topic to file under politics. But my two cents is that nobody should be coerced into treating any month as being more or less special for any reason,

I agree, but nobody's history should be ignored because of racism either. Perhaps just covering all sides equally would be better.

But I thought Comiskey Park was the name of the old park?

I agree First Blood was a very good movie. But cause of its sequels I did not know that until I saw it. Before I say it, I thought it was just another worthless shoot-em-up.
