8146 Darth Chaltab
8096 Shimraa
7131 GundarkHunter
5409 ricarleite

4528 Warbler

I refused to recognize A**'s name on the list. A poster who spams that much, does not deserve a place on the list.

Yeah, but "Warble" had better put his rear in gear because Adam has about ten posts to go until he's on the top ten.

Too late . Still, to me he is 1,500 post behind me.

Yeah, they could be. That's why they're jokes. The fact that some people actually believe it does get a bit annoying, even though it's true to an extent. But if they're just jokes... hell, that's Jeff Foxworthy's career right there! And like I said in my original post, I'm Polish, and I love Polish jokes.

I doubt all polish people feel the same way about polish jokes. I just think there are certain things that you're not supposed to joke about.

Well ok. It just surprizes me is all.

Granted. Which is what the post that started this discussion was about to begin with. People need to lighten up and quit thinking everyone is out to insult them.

But people also need to be tollerant and respectful of one another. Do unto others what you would have them do to you. How would you like it if I made jokes that everyone from the South were dumb uneducated redneck racist KKK members? Would those jokes be considered funny?

How do you know it wasn't? Can you read the radio commentator's mind?

I hate that radio commentator. He has a big mouth and a big ego.

Apparently quite a few, seeing as how ALL of those jokes were told to me by black people in the first place.

I find that a bit difficult to believe.

I'm a little confused, isn't "niggas" a racist's way of refering to black people? So when the joke says all n*ggas isn't it refering all black people?

A black person is someone who happens to be of African descent.

A n*gga is someone who acts like because they are black, they are entitled to welfare, their fill of hos, b*tches, and/or the privilage of drive by shootings, drugs, ect.

It's the difference between, say, Bill Cosby or Denzel Washington and your common LA gang member.

And for the record, this distinction was first made by Chris Rock.

The problem is, not everyone makes that distinction.

No it wasn't. Those are the kinds of the jokes the KKK makes just before they lynch someone. I wonder how many black people think those jokes are funny? What's next? Jokes about the Holocaust?

And for the record, the joke is sending all 'n*ggas' to the moon, not all black people. There is a difference. There are some people of all races who I'd send up there with them.

Here's a couple he told me:

What do you call a bunch of white people rolling down a hill? an avalanche.

What do you call a bunch of black people rolling down a hill? a mudslide.

What do you call a bunch of Mexicans rolling down a hill? JAILBREAK!!

What do you call one n*gga on the moon? A problem.

What do you call two n*ggas on the moon? A bigger problem?

What do you call all the n*ggas on the moon? Problem solved.

What do you call a room full of rednecks? A full set of teeth.

What do you say to a TV that floats in the dark? "Drop it, n*gga!"

Screw political correctness.

Nanner, I am no big fan of political correctness, and I wouldn't automatically assume you to be a racist, but those jokes are not one damn bit funny and are in very poor taste.

I think if they did that, we'd be crying for more blood than we already are. It would be left more up to what a ref THINKS he saw than what the replay shows or doesn't show. Officials already get together (usually) and decide what to call before they announce it.

But right now unless the replay is 100% crystal clear, the call is totally left up to to what he thinks he saw. I think way it works now when replay is used , the orginal ruling on the field has too much weight in the final ruling. It also creates a delemma with "down by contact" rulings. If the ref rules that the player was down by contact(on the field), replay can't be used. But if the ref rules(on the field) that the player wasn't down by contact, the only way the final ruling can be changed to down by contact is if the replay crystal clearly shows that player was down by contact. So the only way a ref can get to look at the replay in "down by contact" situations is if he puts himself in a position where most of time he will be forced to rule(in the final ruling) that the player was not down by contact.

I agree. Why in hell weren't pass interference calls reviewable in the first place?

Also, to me one thing the touchdown call on wheither or not the ball had crossed plane indicates to me is that the wording to replay rule needs to change. Think about it because of the wording of the replay rule (needing clear and inconvertable evidence to overturn the call the field), replay was cancelled out. That play was not decided by replay, but was decided by the original call on the field. As Coov pointed out, if the call on the field had been no touchdown, replay would not have been able to overturn that as well. I think the replay rule should be worded so that the ref makes his final ruling based on the preponderance of all the evidence together(replay, his own eyes, and the eyes of the other officals). Just because the replay isn't crystal clear doesn't mean it should be thrown out entirely.

Do they really have the right to print them, though? When does freedom of the press become libel? I mean, it's a public document, so you can't make false claims about a person. How does a prophet differ?

not having seen all of the cartoons, I can't say that they are making false claims. I what I do know is this a newspaper shouldn't be legally barred from printting somthing soley because it would offend a religious group. Freedom of the press a is very important right and it can't and shouldn't be limited just because a paper might offend someone. It can be argued that the moment we limit somthing like freedom of the press, is the moment we are no longer free. But again that doesn't mean that the papers should have printed them. The papers should have used more common sense.

Because anyone taking such actions as killing people and destroying property over someone's opinion do not understand the concept of tolerance. You have a point. No matter the religion, I find it pathetic that people would react so violently and irrationally over someone's opinion. If that person who wrote the comic wants to put down a religious leader, I say, more power to them!

Why should they be the ones who have to learn tolerance? Shouldn't we also be tolerant of others' beliefs? Tolerance doesn't really work unless everyone is tolerant, and these cartoons don't go very far towards showing tolerance and respect for Islam. Besides, free speech isn't really free and never has been. Those cartoons, in another light, could be viewed as hate speech, and in cases where our free speech causes harm to another's culture, I feel it should be limited.

I agree, we should all learn tolerance. But insulting one's religous belief does not justify murder or other acts of violence. I doubt any god worth worshipping would want people to kill other people or commit other acts of violence towards those people just because they insulted him/her. But I still think that it is a disgrace for the papers to print the cartoons. Yes, they do and should have the right to print them, but that doesn't mean they should print them. I hope no paper in the U.S.A. decides to print them.

I pity humanity for not advancing beyond this kind of problem.

too bad. Offending someone while trying to make a point is one thing, but posting soley for the reason of offending someone and doing it over and over and over again is another. I'm tired of reading deliberately, extremely hurtful, obscenity laden, extremely insulting, extremely immature posts. The people that post that stuff should grow up or get out.
