I do believe in the early days there alot more kicking in football than there is today. Also, I believe that ball used to be rounder in shape. But, just because a ball is not perfectly circular, does that mean that is is not a ball?

What is wrong with preplanned plays? As meantioned before, football requires one thing soccer does not: strategy. It is a game that requires intelligence, not just brute stength. It shares some qualities with chess.

Football imho, is much more exciting to watch. Atleast there is alot more scoring. To me nothing is sports compares with watching a team that is behind trying to move the ball down field to score with less than two minutes to play and no time outs.

Ric, football and baseball became popular in America long before tv was around.

Real football? You wouldn't happen to be talking about that American game where they run with a somewhat egg shaped object (certianly nothing resembling a ball. Ball n. any round, or spherical, object; sphere; globe) in their hands. That odd game doesn't even employ the use of a real ball, and there is very little contact between the players feet and the thing they call a ball. In real football a bunch of guys kick around aball with theirfeet. If by "real football" this isn't what you meant then please disregard this post. Sorry.

That was the game I was refering too, and its alot better that SOCCER

great boost for 'soccer' in the US and maybe some more of the population will sit up and notice

perhaps, but don't expect us to ever call it football

It is, after all, the World's sport, whereas that handball thing they play here is limited to this country alone and nobody outside of the US gives a crap.

um, they do play REAL FOOTBALL in Canada as well And, we do kick the ball every once and while(kickoffs, punts, fieldgoals, and the rare freekicks and dropkicks).

this phrase from the U.S. Constitution is what makes me believe that the government does not control the media:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

again I remind you of Watergate, and the libral bias against Bush in the media.

you can't deny something just cause it comes from someone who thinks differently from you.

btw I hate the fact that I am seeing advertisments in the "Things that we hate" thread for apparel from the two teams and only those two teams that beat the Eagles in the Superbowl Jay please fix that.

ok, that went way too far. I am not a nazi. I have no desire to take over the world or kill jews. I don't feel that white protestant males are superior and therefore should rule the world. There is a big difference between trusting goverment controled news media and trusting the non-government controled news media of a free society.

By the way I don't just get my from watch one station. I switch stations all the time. I read newspapers. I listen to news on the radio. I read about the news from legitimate websites. I take my news from serious legitmate sources not tabloids (unlike the people who made Loose Change) I tend to think that I am smart enough to tell serious news from bias crap. I can just tell from the way the film is put together, the style, the "facts" it uses, the person that created it, that it is bs. That is why I don't trust it or take it seriously. If that makes me a nazi, then Siege Heil!

So does that mean I should accept a biased video as truth until proven otherwise? Also, I believe that site I linked to did good enought job disproving the film.

Like I said, I will start to believe it when it shows up on the Network evening news.

and you and other people on this forum need to start showing my country more respect. How would you like if I said that Canada was planning an attack on its own people, and the people they just arrested aren't suspected terrorists but are people who were going to talk. Not very funny right? How would you like it if I just took that as fact without any evidence to back it up? How about I make a hack video of that theory.

I do deny the fact that any good points were brought up in the theory. Loose Change is clearly biased and put together by a hack. I can't trust any on it. If any of it were true, serious journalists would have been on this case like a dog on a bone it would be on the front pages of every newspaper in the country. Think about it, thousands would have to be "in on it" by now, someone would have talked.

and the worst that can happen when someone listens to the theory is that htey go and do research find out its right. more then likely its wrong but when they find out that its wrong they know why. they understand why its wrong.

No the worst that can and does happen is that people start believing the theory (without evidence) as fact and people are assumed guilty of a crime that they did not commit. Also one thing that can happen is that things like 911 are turned into a joke.

just because there are a few discrepancies, doesn't mean you can logically conclude that the theory is true.
