I watching the yankees celebrate another championship.   It makes me sick to my stomach.   I'm going to go get drunk now. 

I don't remember much about him, maybe he came after I left.    The only advice I can give him is to email Jay and ask to come back(which is what I did).   The worst that could happen is that he'll say no.

"just when I think I'm out, they pull back in!"   Phillies win!  8-6!  The series goes back to New York.  Its going to be very difficult to win 2 games in the fake yankee stadium.  But as Harry Kalis would say, we've got "high hopes".   Lets go Phillies!!!!!!! 

I hate that the Philadelphia Inquirer ran an ad for Macy's this morning's paper that advertised the Phillies 2009 back to back World Series Champion tee shirt.    It was for page ad on back page of section A.   It showed a picture of the tee shirt and congratulated the Phillies for winning this year's World Series.  How the hell did they make that kind of mistake!?!  It's bad enough I'm going to have to deal with Phillies losing the World Series to the yanks.  But have to see the tee shirt and know what could and should have been.   That is like rubbing my nose in it.   Someone at Inquirer should be shot. 

*sigh* . . . The Phillies lose 4-7 . . . its over.    *bangs head against the wall repeatedly* . . . 

that sounds interesting.   Watching a silent movie with a live orchestra.    I'd like to do that with multiple silent movies.   What was it like?

The Phillies lost again 5-8.   Today's game is must win for the Phillies.    If we go down 1-3 in the series, it's over.  We've got to win this game and the next.  Our bats need to come alive again.

I see your point but in Casino Royal,  she is not playing the new M, is playing the original M(or more precisely  the M that was there when Bond first began his career as a spy).    By that logic, she is playing the M from the Book, who was male.

ah, ok. thats good.  I guess I'm just paranoid.  I had a big problem on another forum with someone interpreting my posts as mean and un-nice when they weren't intended that way, and I also just that same kind of problem in the baseball thread.   It has me worried that every time I post, its going to get misinterpreted.  Please excuse my paranoia.

xhonzi, I apologize.  You did nothing to me.  I meant nothing by my previous statement.  I know alot of Bond fans like License to Kill.   I assumed you did because you seemed to like the less traditional Bond movies.  But, you know what they say when you assume something?  I seem to have a problem with the way I come across.  I think I come across sounding meaner than intended, when I really didn't want to sound mean at all.  I was just making a comment,  I didn't mean anything critical by the statement.  

I suppose Tomorrow Never Dies Does more closely resemble the Moore era.    I like both the Moore and Connery Bond movies.  I guess I like the lighter Bond movies.

oops...sorry about that.  Someone who has watched Bond films as many times as I should never mistake Q for M.    I agree Dench is good in the role.  I guess I'm just a sexist.   I don't like it when they change the sex, or for that matter race, of a character for political correctness.  That's why I could never get into the new Battlestar Galactica.

Well the Phillies lost game 2, 1 to 3.  At least we were able to take 1 game away from the yanks in New York.   Now we need to win atleast 2 in Philadelphia.  The lost rests squarely on the Phillies bats.   You can't expect to win a World Series game against the yankees when you only score one run.   To bad for Martinez, despite giving up 2 home runs, he pitched a good game.   The Umps need their eyes checked.   They blew two callings in tonight's game, 1 against the Phillies and 1 against the Yankees.   For a World Series game,  2 blown calls is two too many.   I think we need instant replay.
