I finally got a blu-ray player for Christmas yesterday.   The picture and sound are great!  I can't wait to see more movies in on blu-ray!   I will never buy a DVD again.  But I do have one little problem.    I can't stop the movie and save the position.  Whenever I hit the play button after I stop the movie, it just goes back to the beginning of the movie.   I can pause the movie, but goes back to the beginning of the movie if I turn the player off.     Does anyone else have this problem?  It happened to me with multiple blu-rays.   Is this just a problem with my player or this something inherent in blu-ray in general.

I have to say I don't like this thread.   Therefore I will not participate.  You can all read my Christmas wishes in another thread.

Do you mean to say they ripped the head off the teddy bear in front the kid?  Why frisk the mother?  Isn't sending her through the metal detectors enough?

I'm guessing the security guards didn't the flight canceled.  I can't believe they'd be THAT stupid.  

if what happened to Bingowings had happened to me, you'd all know about without me having to post about it cause you'd hear on the news about someone shooting up an airport and murdering some guy that works in Costa coffee.   That is just ridiculous, Bingowings.  I'm not sure who you can complain to, but you need to complain to someone at that airport about that.  Very sorry that your Christmas got spoiled, Bingowings.

thankyou, C3PX.   Its just that I've had so many problems on forums and pissed so many off that it surprises me it hasn't happened here.

I surprised I haven't ended up on anyone's ignore list yet.   In the past, I've had a tendency to get on people's nerves and under their skin even when I'm trying not to.   I very surprised it hasn't happened here yet.  My return has gone much better than I expected.

well, if you had moved to the Philly area, you would have encountered a similar zeal for an NFL team(the Eagles).   At least until they signed Michael Vick.

I'm  sorry but there are some films I don't think should be shown in 3D.  Casablanca and Gone With the Wind come to mind.   How could 3d improve them? (especially since they weren't originally shot in 3D)

hmm, a fellow Christmas Carol fan.   While I like a lot of versions of the story there are some I don't like.   For example: the Reginald Owen version. 

yeah, and to be honest I'm not too worried about the players education.   I would be worried about the education of players in the lower divisions of college football, but not Division 1A players.  Most aren't there to get an education, they're there to play football and to try to make the NFL.

Sports organizations are different from bands.  For one thing, turnover is the norm, especially high school and college teams.  They do a complete turnover every four years.    But, they still were the same uniforms call themselves the same name and play for the same school/college/city.  In the world of sports, even though the players change the team is still the same team.  They are still the Philadelphia Phillies or Eagles.  For instance, even thought the players on both teams are all gone,  I want to see the Eagles play the Raiders in another Superbowl and get revenge for Superbowl 15(the Raiders beat the Eagles in that game 27-10).  I want revenge.   In this years World Series I was hoping to see the 1950 Phillies avenged.   They lost the 1950 World Series to the Yankees.     I guess the difference is this.  The band is the people singing in it,  the sports team is the team and not just the players playing on the team.   I don't what else to say.

let me clarify,  you are not a traitor if you come in lived in Dallas, move to Philly and continue to cheer for the Cowboys.  You are a traitor if you've lived ALL you live in the Philly area and decide  to cheer for Cowboys.    It's easy to cheer for "the best" team.  Its hard to stay a fan when you team stinks.  That takes loyalty.   The players change, the coaches change,  the owners change, but the colors and team name usually stay the same.  They represent the part of the country I live in and therefore, I cheer for them.
