I sighed at yet another ridiculous crap thread. I sick tired of all the trolling and meaningless crap threads and posts in the off topic section lately. Off topic has gone to s**t lately and I have had enough of it.

Could we at least get rid of crap threads like “i can has invite 2 blu-torrents ??” ?

Well, there is no way to know if yours are bad as what DrCrow has. From what he has posted about it in the past, he has pretty bad mental issues.

I urge against making statements like this to DrCrow. He has made clear that he has serious problems with mental illness. He is liable to take statements like this too seriously. I know he can be frustrating, I have had problem with him as well. I would urge caution when dealing with him.

I don’t know. What about the studies that say children fair better with straight couples than same-sex couples? (and yes I know there are straight couples that are abusive and of course I child would be better off with a non-abusive same sex couple than an abusive same sex couple) There are arguments that the parenting styles of mothers differ from that of fathers and that children benefit from the mixture of the two.

the officiating was not good last night. They should have over turned the call on the field on the first challenge. That was a completed pass. Panthers played terrible in the end. Cam Newton should consider himself lucky he wasn’t playing for the Eagles last night. If the Eagles were in the Superbowl and the quarterback had chance to recover a fumble that, if picked up by the other team, would cost them the game and he didn’t give full effort to recovering the fumble, the Eagles would have let him have and would never forgive him. The Panthers were down 6 points with about 3 minutes left in the game and close to their own endzone. Cam Newton fumbled the ball. You have know that if Broncos recover the ball and get first down that close to the endzone, the game is over. Cam Newton had a chance to jump into fray and try to recover the ball and didn’t. Instead he backed away. Also, I see that the Panther’s coaches must have gone to the Andy Reid school of clock management. Down two touchdowns and they let over ten seconds tick off the clock between plays. Is was like they had never heard of spiking the ball to stop the clock or a hurry up offense. Also, there was less than 2 minutes on the clock and they were still down two touchdowns and they punted. The Panther’s coaches might as well have picked up the Lombardi and walked to the Broncos sideline and hand them the thing.

Just wanted to let any concerned parties that today I went into treatment for alcoholism/substance abuse/depression/anxiety/generallybeingadebbiedowner. It’s outpatient (obviously, or else I wouldn’t be posting here). Whether or not I will completely stop drinking/smoking pot is not yet clear, but I probably will have to. But at the very least I want to get to where it doesn’t completely run my life. At least to where I don’t have to have a couple drinks and a puff to go out in public, to work, to see my friends, etc. Don’t get the wrong idea, I’m not the “embarassing drunk” or stoner who walks around incoherently babbling, I just take a little to relax and face the day, but I’m tired of the cycle. I’ve been getting concerned comments from my coworkers lately about my appearance, that I appear tired, my eyes are baggy/glazed over/red. None of them said that I’ve been acting intoxicated, but I think with my appearance they are starting to put two and two together. In a concerned way, not a judgmental way. At least so far.

I haven’t drank or smoked so far today, (it’s about 1:30 PM where I live) and while I don’t feel cranky or irritable I don’t feel very good either. I feel really anxious and nervous, and somewhat sick to my stomach.

I’m very glad to hear this, Possessed, I wish you the best of luck with the therapy. I’ll be praying.
