FWIW I find it weird the way people mourn over someone they never met, especially someone who lived a good long life and passed away surrounded by family and friends.

I don’t find it weird at all. You enjoy someone’s performances and miss them when they are gone. Of course it is good that they lived a long live and passed away surrounded by family and friends. Also of that kind of mourning pales in comparison to the kind of mourning that takes place when you lose someone very close to you(and that’s an understatement).

We had a short lived poster, starwarsfan234, that seemed to be a possible repeat troll. Some people believed it to be HansiG. At this point it’s all guess work. I’m sure our Staff knows who it was but at this point it remains a mystery. All threads from this user were deleted yesterday but the incident left an impression here on the forum.

I, for one, believe that due to the content and timing that it had a purpose, a message. It would seem that there may only be a few of us that saw it that way while most others were eagerly awaiting the ban and reveal of the user in question.

Now, I don’t know who it was but I firmly believe it was one of our own. Someone that wanted to hold a mirror up so that we could see how foolish and petty things had gotten and that making some changes in ourselves for the better would benefit the community more as a whole.

I know there will be some heckling going on during this discussion as it is off topic but please, no blatant disrespect towards your fellow members, this is a conversation for everyone. I would also welcome thoughts from our mod’s and our staff on the incident and what they feel about what it suggested.
