You mean like how Conservatives redraw districts to get more power?

Liberals do the same.

true, but it doesn’t make it right. I want it stopped on both sides. I hope you can at least agree with that.

You mean like how Conservatives try to restrict voter rights under the false guise of needing voter ID?

Who’s voting rights are restricted by needing a photo ID? You must really hate Mexico.

??? How does being against needing a photo ID to vote mean you hate Mexico?

All responses I expected. I won’t waste time on most of it but you should do some research on how many people have trouble getting their required ID, who it affects (hint: the elderly, the poor, minorities, etc.), and how much more common it is than the extraordinarily rare cases of in-person voter fraud.

Oh, and what’s your defense for the Supreme Court thing?

yeah, he never answered that one.

btw, I am for the Dems filibustering any Supreme Court nominee until Merrick Garland gets an up or down vote.

This is why nothing gets done in this country. It’s a zero-sum game. No compromise, no meeting in the middle, no concession, no “hrm, maybe I’m wrong about this one”. Just “I’m right and you’re not only wrong but also stupid and irredeemable.”

It’s a race to the bottom and we all lose.

I try to meet in the middle. Like I said I am open to voting for Republicans.

btw, if this election had been Hillary vs. W. Bush and I was somehow forbidden to vote for anyone other than one of those two, I’d have to give Bush serious consideration. That you should tell you something.

This is simply where you and I differ, pretty much most every single person in the current Democrat party, as well as historically in most instances since they are the party of the KKK and slavery, are simply not worth casting my vote for. It has nothing to do with party as much as it has to do with my own philosophy, beliefs, and convictions.

If you think the Democratic party is the party of the KKK and slavery, you are clearly biased. I don’t know what else to say to such ridiculousness.

DEAR LIBERAL FRIENDS: We need to talk about President Trump…

The the lady in that video: go bleep yourself.

I have to wonder whether she thought W. Bush was a war monger. I doubt it. and where it is the concern about blowback when comes to the Iraq invasion and waterboarding(which Trump and W. Bush support).

You often accuse me of having blind hate for Obama, you have a blind hate for Bush.

  1. You have a blind love for you Bush and any Republican President.

  2. I don’t hate Bush anywhere near as much as you seem to hate Obama.

  1. No, I don’t. I hated a lot of Bush’s policies, his domestic policies especially, but I do believe he was far better on foreign affairs than Obama.

Let me try to set you straight on this, I am not an in the bag dyed in the wool Republican,

oh yeah, when was the last Presidential race where you didn’t vote for the Republican?

Not one person in the current Democrat party that I can think of could come close to even courting my beliefs enough to gain my vote, it’s not me it’s them.

I didn’t ask when the last time you voted Democrat was, I asked when was the last time you didn’t vote Republican. There independents and third parties and write-ins. Have you ever considered voting any of those ways or do you just automatically flip the Republican switch?

first you say you say the Republican party is the party that most closely conforms to your general philosophy, but then you say you hate the party.

If you a conservative instead of a Republican, vote libertarian or some conservative third party instead of always Republican.

Not one person in the current Democrat party that I can think of could come close to even courting my beliefs enough to gain my vote, it’s not me it’s them.

You obviously didn’t read what what I wrote. I said vote libertarian or some conservative third party.

after all the anti-Obama posts I’ve seen of yours blaming him for every single thing and acting like he was the anti-Christ, I feel I could testify in court that you hate the man. I however admit to loathing Bush and thinking he was a failure. However, I would not call Obama a success nor am I his yes man(I may have been once, not I since I decided not to vote for him in 2012.

I don’t blame him for every single thing and I do not believe he is the Anti-Christ.

could have fooled me.

I am staunchly opposed to him and can’t deny that. You and Frink are rigidly, and passionately, anti-Trumpers, that’s cool I have no issue with that. But I just am just as rigidly and as passionately anti-Obama. Why is one so noble and without fault in your mind while the other is somehow incoherent and intolerant? I see them as being the same, but coming from very different beliefs and perspectives.

Did Obama ever talk with pride about assaulting and sexually harassing women? did Obama ever make fun a disabled reporter? did Obama ever talk about getting Mexico to pay for a wall? Did Obama ever talk about banning people from coming into the country based on Religion? Did Obama ever say a judge was unqualified because of his race? Was Obama ridiculously grossly unqualified to be President? Was Obama a reality tv star? Was Obama’s only qualification being ridiculously rich? Did Obama defraud people trying to get an education at one his schools?

Again, I point to all of your posts during the George Bush presidency, I could have said the same about you. Just try to understand that I detest the guy as much as you detest Bush for similar, yet different reasons.

You detest Obama much more. But I will admit I was I had been a little more opened minded back then. I still wouldn’t have voted for him or been a fan of his. But my posts during his era would have been a bit different if I had to do it all over again.

There at least a possibility that I would vote for a Republican. If it had been Romney vs. Hillary, I would have voted for Romney. Has there ever a been a non-Republican that you would chose over a Republican(and note I said non-Republican not Democrat)? I vote Republican many times on local and state elections. Do you ever vote for a non-Republican in an election at any level?

I am a dyed in wool hardcore Conservative. Therefor, the party that most closely conforms to my general philosophy is the Republican party and the party that patently rejects everything I stand for, and more often than not attacks what I believe, is the Democratic party. Not one person in the current Democrat party that I can think of could come close to even courting my beliefs enough to gain my vote, it’s not me it’s them. That said, I hate the Republican party because it is as corrupt and morally bankrupt as any other party in Washington.

first you say you say the Republican party is the party that most closely conforms to your general philosophy, but then you say you hate the party.

If you a conservative instead of a Republican, vote libertarian or some conservative third party instead of always Republican.

  1. I don’t “hate” Obama as much as I loath him both as a person and as a President. I absolutely do HATE his ideology and his beliefs and I hate almost everything he has done while in office. I simply detest him as I believe he has been an abject failure as I’m sure you feel the same way about Bush.

after all the anti-Obama posts I’ve seen of yours blaming him for every single thing and acting like he was the anti-Christ, I feel I could testify in court that you hate the man. Good lord the audience for the Obama farewell speech was annoying. Shut up and let the man talk.

I had the same thought myself.

JEDIT: I blame Millennial entitlement. Can’t shut up for five seconds while someone else talks.

yeah it does seem like crowds in general are less quite when they are supposed to me and more disruptive than in the past.

Trump tweets to support LL Bean, but links to the one lady on the board who actually likes him’s side company selling lobsters, somehow screwing over LL Bean because now people will boycott it while promoting her personal business.

Good use of power there, Trump.

huh? him’s? and what do lobsters have to do with LL Bean?

OK, so LL Bean has a member on their board who supports Trump. The board denounces her for proclaiming any political affiliation at all. This board member also owns a company selling Lobster. What Trump does in his tweet is tell his supporters to shop LL Bean, while linking to the profile of the board member’s lobster company, making it so liberals want to stop supporting LL Bean while making conservatives want to buy lobsters from the board member’s side business. So Trump hurt the LL Bean board that rejected his friend by causing a boycott while promoting the personal business of his friend. Seems really shitty to me.

ah. Now I understand. Thankyou.

I guess too many Republicans were coming from Cuba.

?

Here’s our “compassionate” President at work.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/12/world/americas/cuba-obama-wet-foot-dry-foot-policy.html

Obviously has to do with our attempt to improve relations with that country, still I am not sure I approve. I never said Obama was perfect. I disagreed with him enough that I didn’t vote or him in 2012.

Some things change and…

so, the whole ‘you’re a racist’ part of that is wildly inaccurate, and makes it hard to take the first part seriously. but i do recognize that there is some truth to the first part about blame on bush and Russia. that doesn’t mean that blame is wrong, but i do recognize that it exists. (if anything, i think Obama has a very good message on racism. did you even listen to his farewell address? you would probably like it).

I’m thinking some of you aren’t getting the fact that Obama is pointing a finger at whoever is in front of him, which would be the reader of the meme, and that is where they “you’re a racist” comment comes in. It does make sense, it just depends on how one “looks” at it.

😉

huh?
