In an interview with the Bergen Record, Conway muses about the possibility that such surveillance could be conducted through phones, TVs and even microwaves. Here’s the exchange with columnist Mike Kelly:

KELLY: Let me ask you about one of the things that seems to be dogging, at least this past week, is the wiretaps — the allegation that Trump Tower was wiretapped. What can you say about that? Do you know whether Trump Tower was wiretapped?

CONWAY: What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other now, unfortunately.

KELLY: Do you believe that was …

CONWAY: There was an article that week that talked about how you can surveil people through their phones, through their — certainly through their television sets, any number of different ways. And microwaves that turn into cameras, et cetera. We know that is just a fact of modern life.

  1. I find it difficult to believe we are at the point where we could surveil people through tv sets, and turn microwaves into cameras. If we I have reached that point, then where is my self mowing lawnmower and my self raking rake?

  2. Even if we could do all that, it doesn’t prove the Obama had Trump Tower wiretapped

If the lax attitude towards enforcement supposedly encourages more illegal immigration, why has it been on the decline in recent years?

You can so me what numbers you like, but it is a fact that when people see others break the rules and get away with it, it can encourage them to do the same. Tell me, you ever see someone break a rule at work and then when nothing happens to him/her others decide to break the same rule and then soon the rule becomes meaningless? I have.

Martin Luther King Jr. was an FBI target under surveilance, he committed treason? They don’t just go after “the bad guys”.

There is a big difference between putting someone under surveillance, and assassinating via remote controlling their car.

I mean, I didn’t even mention anything about assassinations,

You didn’t, but Jeesbus mentioned this:

Jeebus said:

The CIA have or are working on having the ability to hack into people’s cars and remotely control them,

and Alderaan said this a couple of pages ago:

hacking remote cars to commit assassinations…

Hence my statement.

I said I like visiting it, but I’d never live there. I don’t know why I need to be more specific than that? Haha, I never thought my little side remark would cause a need to create a whole new thread.

You said you wouldn’t want to live in California for the same reason as Texas and Florida, and you keep refusing to elaborate. The more you do so, the more suspicious it sounds.

Oh.

Maybe its time to waterboard him. 😉

I object to the path for citizenship idea.

What are you going to do, round them all up into camps? Create a new deportation militia force that would eventually just become local gangs who try and extort everybody?

The problem isn’t the immigrants, it’s your stupid venal lawmakers who allowed the situation to happen so they could get rich, and it’s also your fault for voting them into office in the first place.

Sorry about that, I left one very important word out of that post, the word “don’t”. It should have read “I don’t object to the path for citizenship idea.” I have corrected the original post.

For the record, Mankiewicz isn’t the “probable” replacement, he is the replacement and has been picking up for Osborne for years now.

And I really don’t know much about The Young Turks or why people hate them so much, but the fact of the matter is his involvement in that has nothing to do with his TCM hosting abilities.

A bit more on topic, I’m disappointed that I didn’t get to go to more TCM in theater events when Osborne was still around (or actually make it out to their festival in person). One I did get to see was Singin’ in the Rain, which had an interview attached between Osborne and Debbie Reynolds. It was pretty fun to watch. Sad to see them both gone now.

I got to see Casablanca.

I wouldn’t describe it as derailed and spun out of control.

Ok maybe so, but it possibly could’ve.

Maybe, but I think it needs to be remembered that normal conversation in the real world naturally goes from one subject to another.

Lol, how is that relevant to the fact that this obituary thread has turned into a thread about some TCM host who I’ve never heard of and don’t care about?

It hasn’t turned into a such thread, the conversation in it turned to that for a page and a bit. It started out about the death a TCM host(which is on topic) and then turned to his probable replacement. You may not care about some TCM host, it doesn’t mean others don’t though.

My point is relevant in that sometimes maybe conversation has to be allowed some room to evolve and go off on small tangents for a bit. It is the way natural conversation works.

Rest assured if some significant death had occurred in the middle of the conversation, it would have been discussed here and either the tangent conversation would have ceased or would have been delayed. The tangent didn’t really block any on topic discussion.

I don’t care if it blocked on-topic discussion or not, I have no interest in reading about it.

Then don’t.

And even though I keep opening this thread expecting to find something relevant was posted, it keeps not happening.

Oh well. The same sort of thing has happened to me in other threads(sometimes in tangents that you are involved in ) and I have let it pass. Sometimes this has happened in threads I created and tangent(again sometimes involving you) became permanent and I was forced to put up with it.

If others care about it, go make a thread that I can ignore.

  1. I am not sure it was worth a whole other thread.

  2. Sometimes it takes bit to see that conversation is going off in a tangent and sometimes by the time this is realized, the tangent may had ended.

But please let’s spend another few pages arguing about it.

Whatever you wish.

Sheesh.

*sigh*
