Do you think I can describe men as being “sidelined” by them choosing a women for the next Doctor.

You read it incorrectly. There is a big difference between wanting more women/minority characters and wanting to change characters already established as white/male to female/minority. Did you see me ever complain about the Doctor getting minority companions? or the addition of a gay character?

I don’t know, I never thought of trailers and teasers as spoilers. I mean they are designed by the studios to be watched before one watches the movie itself. I doubt any trailer or teaser of ESB revealed who Luke’s father was. But, maybe you are right.
