Yes. That was stupid to ask.

The greatest scientist on earth (the one that named some/most of the things you refer to) once said there is something more to life than the human mind will ever know, something that we cannot ever begin to comprehend--for this reason, yes, your Albert Einstein who you must have thought was some flaming atheist, did believe in god.

If it is good enough for one of the smartest/wisest people alive, it is good enough for me and the other 6 billion people on earth.

How is an impressionable (meaning average) 12-14 year old going to react when the bio teacher teaches evolution as it is fact? regardless of being braiwashed into a religious home (which is less the case now, because so many people are not religious or do not give a damn) they are going to listen to their teacher, regardless of being presented a disclaimer.
BIG DIFFERENCE, public school is public school. Almost all children of the U.S. go to it. It is government run. You have to go. A church is private and people choose to go to it.
EDIT: So you are advocating rebellion for children not to listen to parents? THEY ARE KIDS. They are raised according to the parents up till the age of 18. They can then decide what they want to do for themselves--whatever it may be. Go to church, or go fuck each other on the side of the road...Their choice.

Well, why should evolution be taught as fact in the school? If it is a THEORY, which it is, don't I, (as a 14 year old "ignorant" student of the public education) have the right to hear other theory? Its disgusting the way this is taught. At least my 8th grade teacher had the balls to say "Well, I have to teach this to you, but for the record, I do not believe in it. That is all that is going to be said"--Like, I mean, can I as a kid have some sort of disclaimer warning me that this is not fact? Just a theory?

Like every time you go to church the reverend has to say: "all that I'm going to say is not fact, it's just a theory"? Children who go to church go there because their parents want to. Not because they want to. They are brainwashed from a very early age. I think you should not confront children with evolution or religion until they are 12-14 and than show them both theories so they can make up their own mind.

Thats so stupid.Do you honestly think todays 12-14 year olds are competent and even understand a fiber of this debate. That is just fucking unbelievable---You must not know how the average 12-14 year old is. This is very funny.
You must have a very sad life from what I am reading. Jesus Christ.

My little experience with it, my great grandma was on her death bed, and when me and my dad came in to talk to her, she thought I was my dad and my dad was her son---and she kept saying she had to go see a friend at the trolly station near geary next to the theater...... (she grew up in San Fransisco in the 20's)...that was devastating---she said it was urgent and she really had to see him there----its amazing that something like that could linger in someones mind for so long...

Jeez though. What a class ass and a dick.

Or constructively, yes he needs a shrink and has severe mental problems. Not that I don't mind mental people like he, for they are the kids that went up and played air guitar on stage during lunch at school today.
