what'a good age to introduce kids to star wars??

Well, my brother is eight, (just turned) and he started watching them around 3. Now whats intresting, is, for a period of time, all that existed to us was our 10 year old copy of the faces FS tapes...we'd watch that EVERY SINGLE night! I knew there was the new star wars movies (I saw TPM in the theater,when I was roughly my brothers age) but I never really was intrested. Then I got the Musical Journey DVD! I was so hyped up, seeing the star wars movies I knew, but seeing them "digitaly Remasteres" and seeing that new end sequence with the new inserts! I was crazy! I then started on a DVD rampage. I bought Ep.I, Ep.II, Clone Wars.......I was still a novice to SW.
My brother, saw Episode III in theaters, and his favorite movies are ROTJ and ROTS, with ROTJ being his #1.
Then June (2005) came around, and I bought the 2004 Editions. I was happy, I watched them, and I really liked the way everything looked fresh and new...infact, I was sick (with a fever) when I went to target-lol-so I bought my set, came home, barfed in the toilet, put in ANH, layed in bed, and put on some head phones and the directors commentary. I watched all 3 fims that afternoon.....well, October comes around, and Im into OT.com....
My brother got really into it, hell he still is into it, and me and him sat and watched the entire movie Building Empire. And he really liked the alternate angles and takes, and diffrent dialouge sounds, etc. He hated that commentary-lol
My dad says anyday is a good day for a good steak.

I say, any age is a good age for Star Wars-lol

Refering back to a few posts earlier...YES, I FELL FOR THE BOOTLEG $$$ INDUSTRY ONCE. JUST 2 MONTHS BEFORE I FOUND ORIGINALTRILOGY.COM...
It wasat a fair, and I saw a "Faces set" With DVD transfers of the FACES WS VHS Tapes.......................I was suckered into it....heck, I was only 12...LOL...........I made my dad buy it for me....It came with 4 discs, te last containing alittle bonus material and a few trailers.

My dad also got suckered into buying a DVD bootleg of Episode III. Remember this was in august...well, the EP III DVD looked as good as the official one, and had no counter or anything, and was in perfect WS.


Since then, my DVD collection has gotten bigger, and bigger, and is getting bigger, and better, thanks to all these really cool guys at OT.com. Now I know so much, and have seen so much,more than most adults have (SW wise...lol)

Anyway....I'd like to get my hands on that DVD...the "Film Vault" It looks intresting....

Hmmm...I have not seen the original uneditied version of the battle....I like the CG version...but not to the point of AwK....lol
I like it.........it's diffrent...but it is an editon......thats what it is...an "addition"......GL wants to completely erase the original movies, but we like seeing the space battle (CG) as just a revamped original battle, but we still like the original battle......more of a "what if..." thing.

Well its been more than a month, and I have achived my objective. I have a computer, With 2 HD's...I'm going to need to download DVD shrink, and then get a copy of German ANH.
I have decided that (atleast for now) it will be a single movie project. I don't think I will be doing EDB, or ROTJ...although ROTJ might be intresting to do, mabe have the ending celebration be a battle over the uninhabited world of Endor, and possibly have Corocant be the U.S., Tatooine, Africa, Naboo (Italy) and Cloud City France...but then I would have to do ESB...or mabe I could edit things in a way where it would be a duology..........hmmmm.....to a dark path, this goes....LOL
The computer is not hooked up yet, but I have played around with it (briefly) and its a brand new gaming computer, with huge HD's, and its been wiped clean (virtualy nothing on the HDs)
All I need is German copys....and I could get this started come late Jan, Early to Mid Febuary.
I can't wait!!!!

Specs:
2:35:1 WS (not FS...I can't stand FS...)
2.0 Stereo (I want stereo....if people want it, it might be just mono...)
SL............. (I'm not exactly sure about that.......I love DE's ANH, and how perfect it looks, even though it is SL..)
Im going to make this an ultimate edition or sorts, where I'll be using DE's visuals whenever possible, including the improved DS schematic, and the ME's radar dish being put back...and the fixed Obi-Wan extending his lightsaber, and other small little things everywhere, including the battle of Yavin.
Im not sure if I'm going to have the audio "remastered" or if I should get the audio and put it thorugh some sort of filter ot somthing, to make it sound like a 40's/50's movie...and yes, I have made up my mind, it will be black and white....
