Either way, I'm still without any high quality stills to use for a menu.
There probably won't be one.

As far as a disc of extras, logistics are still being discussed.

Have you looked at these? Something might work for a menu.

It has probably been mentioned a dozen times for the extras disc, but there is that small scene from Fletch Lives! which would work there.

wow, i have a pretty sweet idea for a menu based off those posters...

Howard The Duck - special edition (Released)
Time
i had to shrink the DVD (dont have any dl's) but i burned it today and watched about 15 minutes of the film, and i must say, i cant imagine a retail dvd looking much better than this. the only complaint i could possibly have is that the music playing during the menu seems louder than the movie, so i had to turn it down, then turn it back up once the movie started playing... but all in all, this is one of the nicest fan dvds i have in my collection!

The Godfather - a fan edit idea.

Interesting idea, I think the footage would look out of place and look kinda weird. Perhaps the dialog could however be salvaged and used to fill in parts in the movie. Perhaps playing it over a long scenery shot or something. As far as recording this you can use a program like fraps to record whatever is on your monitor.

Also on another note, isn't there a fan edit of all 3 movies combined into one? I believe the Laserdisc box set was the basis that already interweaves all three. Then I believe he took some scenes only shown on the television airings. Perhaps even more. This makes for a monstrous epic that I would love to see.

i had heard about a couple extended godfather edits, but havent seen them materialize yet.

Night of the Living Dead: 1990 Workprint Special Edition (* unfinished project *)

Okay. I have another Proposed project. I have a couple discs that could be included in this project. And I'm sure more could be included.

Of course this would be included....

Night of the Living Dead:Workprint-The quality is pretty good for a workprint.

and a extra could be....

I have a disc that has multiple Behind the Scenes stuff. One is Evil Dead 2(70 mins),one is Two Evil Eyes(28 mins),and of course to be included in this thread it would have to include Night of the Living Dead 1990 Behind the Scenes which it does and its 35 mins worth!

And then there is other possible extras out there that I don't have...
Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Terror-which is NOTLD 1968 with a parody soundtrack
Tom Savini-Scream Greats(A documentary on the Make-Up Artist/Director!)
and maybe there is more out there.

I would send the discs I have to be included in this project. I just can't make projects due to know DVD recording devices and no way to do anything on my computer.

I would LOVE to see this happen as its the only NOTLD remake worth anything. If you dont have the means, I do... PM me.

The night of the day of the dawn of the etc... i am pretty sure that is easy to come by... very popular spoof... and i know some pople have the Scream Greats doco on here that would be more than willing to help us all out.

i actually have this, if you're talking about the anchor bay or elite dvd (i forget exactly what it is, havent watched it in a while)

Kenner Commercials DVD (Released)
Time
Originally posted by: Jambe Davdar
Hi all,

I am currently in the process of helping a friend and collector to put together the definitive DVD of Kenner Star Wars Toy Adverts

I have and old VHS from 1992 along with a number of DVDs bringing the total number of ads to roughly 90.

The DVDs are from transfers of 8mm and 16mm reels, producing pretty good quality results. However, the VHS is a 3rd (or more) generation copy of another reel with the title caption "Star Wars Toys Historical Reel". I am trying my best to source the best available quality, and this is where I need your help.

Does anyone out there have a decent copy of the VHS mentioned? As I said, it was doing the rounds in the early 1990's when vintage collecting really took off again.

Additionally I have seen the toy adverts that one of the Holiday Special DVDs comes with, as well as those fantastic Palitoy ads on the Clapperboard release, so I don't need a copy of those.

If you have any Vintage toy adverts at all, please drop me a line. Any screen shots you have would be useful.

Thanks
JD

EDIT: I've noticed that BLAK0010: Star Wars: Classic Kenner Commercials is mentioned on another thread. Is anyone able to post a screen grab to show me the quality of the ads on this disc please. Thanks

I dont have anything to contribute to this release, i just want to say that I have been looking for something like this for a while... I never saw Rikter's set posted, but I would LOVE to see some old toy ads (besides, as you said, the ones on the holiday special and the clapperboard)..... really looking foward to this!

SUSPIRIA with original sountrack in PCM! Duel Layer (Released)
Time
Originally posted by: Matt_Stevens
I truly despise what Anchor Bay did with the soundtrack to SUSPIRIA. They took the greatest stereo surround track ever and remixed it so badly that it bore no resemblance to what was in theaters and on laserdisc. I won't go into details, but compared to the Image laserdisc, the DD5.1 and DTS tracks were sh!t. Not to mention the 2.0 track on the DVD was just a downmix of the new remix.

So, a friend of mine and I finally got around to taking care of this problem. The DVD has a sensational transfer. The Laserdisc had a sensational PCM soundtrack. So we combined the two using Final Cut Pro. It was a BITCH because there were numerous cases of a frame or two missing from the beginning of shots on the DVD. That meant lots of resyncing. Oh well. Them's the breaks.

We included the POS 2.0 soundtrack from the DVD so you can switch back and forth and hear the difference.

In order to keep the picture quality 100% and fit PCM and 2.0 tracks we had to go duel layer. I do not care what anyone says, but you can notice compression on these fan edits. I have a 95 inch projection system and even A+ Studio releases show the limitations of the DVD format.

Layer changes are a bitch right now. It's hard to get them right. We were close on our master, but it is not the best of changes. Do not worry, it will not come with dialogue or action.

This is the first fan-edit that I have offered up to the general public. I am asking that people respect my wishes and not take it, compress it and then hand out single layer versions. Please, we worked too hard and want to keep it as is.

Feel free to contact me if you are interested.

I'm interested, but I do not have a DL burner just yet... i have the original dvd though... the limited edition (i think its 3 disc, not sure... been so long since i've watched it!)

I hope to get this whenever I get a DL burner!! thanks for doing it!

Finally! The definitive version of Disney's classic blend of live action and animation. NO Japanese subtitles. Digitally remastered with enhanced video and Color, by Cyber-EFX. Since Disney won't remaster it, I did. Includes audio interviews with Johnny Driscol, Luana Patton, Johnny Mercer and James Baskett (Uncle Remus) and other extras.

this is from the NFO of the copy I have... I dont have myspleen access so I cant upload it there, but it is being reposted on abm.disney right now, and I can send a couple copies out to anyone interested in paying it foward.
