I’m in the market for some good over-ear headphones. Not too expensive, around the $50 range. Anybody know any good ones?

A little above your range, but you can’t go wrong with Sennheisers of almost any price. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0042A68R8/ref=psdc_12097479011_t3_B000065BPB

I personally use audio-technica M50X headphones, but that’s where my tax refund went instead of to a savings account this year.
😄

I swear by my Sennheisers for both gaming and music, but yeah, they’re a bit up there.

They digitally covered up Natalie Portman for the Your Highness trailer. 😉

I really miss there was no room for a “Slave Padmé” scene in the PT…

Duracell sock confirmed.

Actually, I’m one of the few heterosexual men out there who isn’t really turned on by Slave Leia.

Same. I think it’s because the films were so ingrained in my mind before I ever had romantic feelings that my asexual childhood feelings toward slave Leia have remained all the way to my adult life.

So to me, the outfit is just another way Jabba’s making her uncomfortable.

I think this nails it for me as well. I never saw Leia in a sexual light, even in the bikini.

Convincing a girlfriend to wear that outfit would be really weird to me. But then, bringing anything like that into the bedroom doesn’t make any sense to me.

Is the third spinoff decided yet?

I really liked Tem in AOTC. He was great as Jango in my mind, I just wish he hadn’t been related to Boba and I wish Boba hadn’t been a lame clone. Changing the voice in the OT is now just a reminder of hos shit they made the character in AOTC (and how shit those movies were in general) every time I watch the OT. It’s like if, since Hayden Christensen played Anakin, they went back and replace James Earl Jones’ voice with a modulated version of Hayden.

To be fair, Boba’s badass gravelly OT delivery is a big reason he was so cool to me. He sounded like a grizzled gunslinger. Tem’s read sounds half asleep.

I guess put me in this thread because I don’t get it.

Whoa, it’s really meta for me then.

I’m not getting the joke now so it means that it makes sense that my profile was linked in here. Well played, Coffee.

Indeed it was. How tragic that my greatest triumph came from a mistake. The link I once had posted was posted in folly, and has since been corrected to reveal the true moment in which ye missed a joke.

I actually considered that as I was writing that post but I went for it anyway. I was originally gonna make fun of Ms. Kendrick but she seems like a nice lady, so I did not.

Huh, typical stalling response so you don’t have to tackle the actual question.

Me being racist is a ludicrous accusation and any question related to that premise is not worth answering.

He did not say that you were racist, he only said that actions that you might have taken, are taking, and will take, may be actions that can related to or fueled by an amount of racism, which is very different saying that you are a racist.

Pretty much, yeah. I’m pointing out that the “adults” on this forum saying that specifically Japanese animation/media is shit just because it’s Japanese animation/media, and an equivalent from any other country of origin would be fine, shows some undertones of racism. I’m not accusing anyone of actually being racist against Japanese people. I merely think that the thought that Japanese people are incapable of creating quality entertainment media shows a hint of racism in such actions.

Except we’re saying none of the things you’re accusing us of saying.

Then tell me. Why is it that you have no apparent problem with animation media from anywhere but Japan? You seem to think that all Japanese animation media sucks, which implies that you don’t think Japanese people/studios are capable of creating quality animation media.

I’ve never seen Bulgarian animation so I can’t comment on it.

I’ve seen every anime and none of it is good.

The fact that anime comes from Japan is irrelevant to my argument.

Ditto.

Japan is a neat country I’m sure. I like samurai films a lot. Lots of cool history and interesting customs there.

Just their animation is shit. I’ve seen lots of it, so I’d know.

I mean seriously though, the idea that Luke and Han both were thought of as legends more than real people, and the look on Rey’s and Finn’s faces when they realized both were the people the legends said (and Han the legend was standing right in front of them) was a great part of the movie.

Oh definitely. I think it’s clear that none of the big three Rebels ever went into the public light very much. Leia was probably the best-known of the three but she kept being an underground resistance fighter, Han went back to smuggling (not a profession of publicity), and Luke was always secretive and then fell off the map after his failure with Ben. None of them were ever more than legends after Endor.

Plus the galaxy is massive. It’s not a shock that Luke would see the Jedi as legends having grown up on backwater Tatooine despite the order falling just before his birth, so it’s not shocking to me that the exploits of three people in a massive galaxy would be legends for kids like Rey and Finn.
