Lorge Geucas is a funny name.
Lorge Geucas is a funny name.
It's not the same since they allowed holograms.
The Aliens comics are great stuff. Book One and Book Two are definitely worth a read. Earthwar I didn't like at all due to the absolutely hideous art style it was drawn in which didn't allow for me to care about the story.
Personally, I'm a huge fan of Aliens. It's the quintessential sci-fi alien shoot-em-up, but I really think that it ruined the franchise.
Alien was amazing because it was a horror piece. The alien got very little screentime (in large part because they couldn't make it work as well as they wanted) and when it was seen, it was usually quick flashes from extreme distance or extreme close up, but its presence was palpable throughout the entire film; it was infinitely powerful and unkillable, like any good horror film baddie.
Aliens was just a shoot-em-up. Hordes of the once-invulnerable xenos getting blasted left and right just took all the power away from it as an enemy. So much so that they had to come up with an even bigger and badder version to try to recapture some of the feeling that just one of the creatures had in the original film.
I know you can't really compare different genres, which Alien and Aliens are, but I just feel like Aliens devalued the creature.
Oh yeah! OBS is great stuff. I use that to stream to Twitch when I have the wild hair to do so. Definitely worth a look.

STAR WARS: Episode VII: Episodes I-III Don't Count
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.
It's a short story that appeared in Star Wars: Insider magazine a month or so back.
According to Lucasfilm, it's the very first story in the brand new unified canon, putting it ahead of all of the upcoming novels and everything, so it's definitely worth tracking down a copy of the magazine for a look at how the new in-canon stuff will play out, more or less.
I can't imaging going from directing a fan film to directing a real deal, official canon film.
He's living the dream of every fan film director right now.
The PT was really good at ruining stuff.
Telecoms truly are Satan incarnate.
One of England's biggest exports is shit puns.
It's like a sock, but not. What do you call that? A shoe?
It's like invasion of the Pat Man snatchers.

A Boba Fett movie can still stay true to the OT while still respecting/ignoring the prequels, no problem, since he's a kid in the PT. They'd have to ignore the SE-DVD redub, but that's it.
Coming up with some elaborate move to replace the man inside suit seems like a waste of screen time and a waste of my brain space. As long as he sounds and acts like Clint Eastwood it's all good.
The Dredd movie would be a very good place to start for inspiration for a Fett film. Dredd does almost zero to make us like him, infact he does many reprehensible things. But you love him in the end because he's a man of principle, because he does nothing to make himself likeable and he's a badass warrior.
Also you couldn't go far wrong with Fett in a 'Point Blank' style one-man-army revenge film. Fett gets a job, he's betrayed by the criminal organisation that hired him, left for dead, the money is stolen and he spends the whole film hunting down those responsible, one-by-one until he's stood in front of the big cheese and asking for the 1 million space bucks that he's owed.
Twin Engines of Destruction is one of my favourite Fett stories. I'd love to see that translated into a film.
I'm not familiar with FRAPS, so I can't say what exact settings you need; but I know that most recording programs have trial limits to the length of recordings unless you purchase the program. That might be the causeo f the stoppage.
As for audio issues, they likely have to do with your capture settings. Make sure that the program is set to record audio from your microphone as well as the game. These settings can depend on your operating system as well, and there are usually tutorials to be found online for this.
I have used similar programs (namely Bandicam) in order to capture gameplay footage, and haven't found any problems with the program once I got it set up properly.
The Man in the Iron Mask? I admit I haven't seen it, but the title seems promising.

^Well, the article says neither he nor the story he appears in were meant to be canon, so I don't see a problem with the whole thing.
Yeah, I misread the source. I thought he made it into the New Essential Guide to Characters. My bad.
When he said he wanted George to kill Han off, I don't think he meant literally...
Bad jokes aside, I'm sure LucasFilm will be paying top dollar to get him well again... any price isn't too high to keep these three going through production. England has great services and I'm sure they'll do their best here as well. Plus Harrison is a tough old coot. Best wishes nonetheless.
Just read through this. Wow. Stay strong, Neg. Bingo's post is dead on.
We may not be flesh-and-blood family, but we sure support you nonetheless.
Just stumbled across this pile of junk on Wookieepedia tonight.

One thing I've just noticed which gives me new-found respect for the art department on TPM is that the costume designers seem to have made copious reference to the unused character concepts Moebius did for Willow.
The Jedi hairstyle that Obi-Wan Kenobi sports in the TPM storyboards from the rough-draft period is a dead ringer for Madmartigan's hair in the earlier movie (which was based on a Moebius design).
Likewise, Moebius's concept drawings for Sorsha (Willow's secondary villain and Madmartigan's love interest) feature her wearing a white Noh mask with ornamental red markings. Guess what shows up in the prequels as makeup on Amidala's face?
Plus, one of the drawings for Sorsha features her with a long blonde ponytail and an otherwise shaven head. That hairstyle got reused for bounty hunter Aurra Sing (who also received Luke's very long rifle from Ralph McQuarrie's old drawings).
If nothing else, it shows the TPM character designers were quite impressed by Moebius's earlier work for Lucasfilm. Too bad Lucas and Ron Howard didn't actually use most of his designs for Willow itself...
All hail the new Patmun!

That kind of reminds me of the few times I've suffered sleep paralysis. It's unnerving as hell, to say the least.
A friend of mine was recently explaining his experiences with this. it all sounds pretty terrifying.
Was reading a Reddit thread where people were describing their experiences. Horror films have nothing on some of these things. Absolutely horrifying, and, as Bingo said, it's very obvious to see that's where ghost stories, demonic possession, and alien abduction stories come from.
One day maybe we can into space again.

While I won't say he really raised up The Hitcher remake, he certainly was the best aspect about that mediocre waste of effort.
Yeah, I guess that's more what I meant. He's always a bright spot, even on a crapfest.
There damn well better be more Iron Man.
¡BANG!
