Windows Phone is incredible. Best phone I’ve ever owned. I help my dad with his Android phone every now and then and it’s such a frustrating locked down piece of garbage OS.

They’re pushing some new updates for Windows (10 and 10 Mobile) lately that have all been pretty great in my opinion.

Yeah, just don’t install that recently released build 16212 update from MS…

(as ever with The Reg articles - the comments section is always worth a read 😃)

and that’s not to say that Windows phones aren’t decent - the more choices we as consumers have, the better 😃

Thanks for the heads up!

And yeah, competition is always good.

I can’t even.

I’m not too shocked considering gun sales are pretty speculative based on the party of the President. Gun folks lose their minds every time anything happens with a Democrat President because they assume there will be ten million new rights-infringing knee-jerk reaction laws in the wake of any sort of gun violence that goes on. With Trump they assume they’re safe because he’s a Republican (which is funny because I’m sure Obama has more range time than Trump does).

After I got into computers and realized I didn’t have to use IE anymore I switched to Firefox and used that for years until Chrome came out and I switched to that, and then Google (unsurprisingly) revealed itself to be an evil corporation so I went back to Firefox.

I dabbled in Opera and other modern browsers, but they were all shitty.

I’ve gotten into using Comodo IceDragon recently because it’s Firefox but even more locked down. I’m also big on Ghostery and NoScript and DuckDuckGo and all that.

I miss Netscape Navagator.

I dunno what issues Alderaan is having with Firefox because it runs like a dream for me.

Hold on to your rights, UK.

New international agreements should be introduced to regulate the internet in the light of the London Bridge terror attack, Theresa May has said.

The Prime Minister said introducing new rules for cyberspace would “deprive the extremists of their safe spaces online” and that technology firms were not currently doing enough.

The Prime Minister made the comments outside Downing Street on Sunday morning in the aftermath of the van and knife attack that saw seven people killed and dozens injured.

“We cannot allow this ideology the safe space it needs to breed – yet that is precisely what the internet, and the big companies that provide internet-based services provide,” Ms May said.
